datzenmike
Mikuni came as an upgrade. Is an upgrade. They weren't offered as an option or upgrade. For that there were 38mm Hitachi SUs on the L16SSS 510 Coupe. No for the 510 sedan or goon but at least factory period correct. Quote Link to comment
CraigMicheals
true, true. they sound fuckin amazing too! lol any good website recommendations i can order from? Quote Link to comment
r0p0doe
You can go with mikunis, su's, weber, and solex I believe. As far as best will be a long debate, everyone likes one over the others just have to get one and hope it's up to your standards... 1 Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
webers DVOES are the only new ones and OEM is another brand I think. new mikunis are all old now out of production. Quote Link to comment
CraigMicheals
are they really? i did not know that. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Stuff comes up on e-bay now and then but it's like an old weber... rebuilt 50 times and parts left out. Hitachi SUs/manifolds, came over on import engines back in the '80s. Quote Link to comment
EricJB
Mikunis have some nice features. I like the linkage arms and throttle stops. Way better than Weber. You have to be careful when buying Webers. They were originally made in Italy. Sometime in the 90's, they moved the production to Spain. Than Weber sold the licensing to people who had cheap Chinese ones made. They are ALL real Webers. But they are not equal. I only buy new ones from Redline. I prefer the Italian ones though. Being an old aircooled VW guy, and playing with Weber IDF's and IDA's, by the time I moved over to Datsuns, I already had $500 worth of Weber jetting crap, so it only made sense for me to stay with Weber. Either one will serve you well, but buy GOOD linkage, or get ready to have them go out of sync on a regular basis. 1 Quote Link to comment

Maybe he's referring to the 1967 1/2 Roadster 2000 with factory Solex carbs. Solex, Mikuni, same thing. Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
Have any of you ever tried the OER carbs? They look like a blend of DCOE and PHH carbs. Maybe a little Dellorto thrown in for good measure. http://www.zccjdm.com/catalog.php/azcarbum/dt84283/pd1938012/A_OER__SK__RACE__DCOE__CARBURETORS_ Quote Link to comment

81SVN20
true, true. they sound fuckin amazing too! lol any good website recommendations i can order from? check out wolfcreekracing.com for Mikunis and jameng.com for webers both companies offer a variety of intakes... Ebay usually have some good Solex the Italian versions for sale very often and you could also find rebuilts kits on there as well... Quote Link to comment
Stoffregen Motorsports
I just noticed the OP said "a side draft", singular. I would rather have a modified DGV and modified stock intake than a single side draft or SU's. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
OER are Jap made carbs that use a the weber jetting system I believe. Quote Link to comment
Colbino
I am running OER 45's on my l20b. Love'em! Quote Link to comment
