Mattndew76
So I fought from 1:00 to 9:45 to get the CNC running tonight. Kept throwing an error code that the servo axis card was unresponsive.. Only a 600-1200$ issue!!! @ about 8:00 I was about to place an order for a new one. I was sooo emotionally spent getting nowhere.... I decided to clean the cards and reseat them as one final option..... It worked. I cried like a bish. CNC is functioning once more. 4 Quote Link to comment

The same thing happened to me when I moved my CNC. Worked fine before the move as I was getting the table in the shipping position, but after the move keep getting an error. Yep, loose connections. reseat all the boards, then tuned all the servos and cleaned the tachs. Good to go. Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
It was a dark pit type of feeling. Wondering how much more $$ had to hemorrhage... Quote Link to comment
graveltrapp
That is so cool, glad to hear that it wasn't another weeks salary to just get it up and running. How much air pressure is needed to keep her happy? Did it require a new compressor as well? This should improve the health and performance of the 1200 world indeed. looking forward to some groovy parts to start rolling out soon. Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
It has it's own compressor to keep it at a steady 80psi in the lines. I'm shopping a new compressor for my air lines meant for my air gun. My 30 gallon fried a motor. So I'm on the hunt and will use the old one for a scavenger inline tank. 1 Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
New gasket kit on the way for the A12. The 40mm Throttle body too. Bead roller unpacked and cannot wait to get some pans done. 2 Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
Man I made a mess of my garage moving the shop home. Trying to find a place for everything seems like solving a rubic's cube. I'm thinking a Lista cabinet needs to be accuired for the carbide and measuring tools. 1 Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
Finished with the main support plate for the Paxton. Now to make a few more things. 5 Quote Link to comment
Lunatik
I have the same supercharger, I used mine in another conversion (not datsun) and it worked great, now i am putting the SC in the second SR20 that I got for my 521, soon to start as well (after the 1200). 3 Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
nice! I made a mount pattern for the 1200 if you ever need one. 1 Quote Link to comment
Lunatik
I am interested in the pattern if you don't mind. Thanks Quote Link to comment
Lunatik
You will need more carb to keep up with that SC; my preference is the single side draft, here is a pic of my previous Carb setup for this type of mount. Let me know if you need detail on the carb mount. Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
Im not going Carbs or Carb. EFI is being used on the build. 2 Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
1200 Rocker Cover 3 Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
You will need more EFI to keep up with that SC; my preference is for six injectors, some say 11. Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
It wont be able to produce more than 10-11 lbs of pressure with the pulley currently on the novi. I have 4-275CC injectors and 2-500CC injectors. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Such small boost from such a big blower. Well, it'll keep the engine reliable. A stock block and stock head gasket can handle 10 psi. Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
Paxton helped me out with a low pressure setup. I have a bypass just incase too 1 Quote Link to comment
Kirden
I know you had mentioned offering these rockers covers up, then mentioned stopping production of Datsun parts. Do you think these will be available? I'm not completely sure if the A14/A15 rocker covers have the same pattern as the A12 (Datsunfreak/ggzilla to the rescue?) but if so, I'd be interested in one. Also, I was wondering why you decided to step away from the moto-carbs? I've grabbed my manifold for R1s and had planned on a similar setup running 8lbs of boost but still haven't pulled the trigger on the SC. Just can't talk myself into doing it with a fully stock Datsun in good shape  Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
I have 2 A-Series engines. One is a slow walk project with R&D still needing to be done. The DOHC motor gets the CV carbs from the bike. These Rocker Covers will most likely fund the remainder of my 1200 budget. Then they go away never to be made again by me. 1 Quote Link to comment
Kirden
Well they look like they will be great! How much were you thinking? I'm really interested if the bolt pattern is the same. I've looked into doing the mazda DOHC conversion for the A-series, but it all seems more theory then practice at this point. I'd love to see how your motorcycle conversion goes. Sadly I'm not mechanicly inclined enough to pull something like that off yet. Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
I'm going GA16DE head for the DOHC conversion. It has the same cylinder spacing whereas the Mazda heads don't line up perfectly. Plus the GA says Nissan on the cam cover :D Quote Link to comment
Mattndew76
Oh and the $$ amount for the rocker cover is $125.00 for material and $250 for machine time. Oh and I will not do custom badging or designs. That's more $$ and time. 1 Quote Link to comment
Kirden
A blank would be fine with me. Will the Oil cap and vent be open or unfinished? Sadly I won't have the $$ till May 8th, but if you are still taking orders then I'd love to pick one up. Quote Link to comment
