KyushaKai
Anybody got pictures of the 90* "bump" post cutting? I've found this one on here but some higher quality pictures would be much appreciated! Quote Link to comment
Tristin
I wish Juns thread was still alive. He had a few pictures of the process on his wagon. Thread has been archived though. Maybe a mod will sift through it and look for the pictures if you ask nicely. That's the only how-to I've seen and it would be nice to have it back. Eventually I'll want to do it as well. I was so bummed when that thread disappeared. Tons of cool little how to's and awesome pictures. Pretty please mods??? Just a couple of pictures? Hahaha. I saw another good picture of it, but I can't find it anymore regardless of how much I search for it. Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Alright, here ya guys go... not Jun's but my similar process (at least I think... never saw his) Start by hacking the crap out of your inner fender until you have enough room to clear. This is what mine looked like when I was done... this was probably the hardest part of this whole thing... I had to use worn out cut off wheels in the die grinder to get all the small corners done. I didn't want to use plasma because I wanted to avoid not only the heat but also the slag that will contaminate welding and take time to clean. Ahhh, so nice... Chunk... next was putting back the metal. I chose to make it in two pieces... and then the front... Weld this off extremely slow, your don't want to warp the shit out of your rear panel. when your done, sit back and bask in your new found fender clearance :) Later Joel 3 Quote Link to comment

Tristin
Where is this thread you speak of? Mike mentioned that Jun wanted it deleted so Mike archived it in case he ever wanted the content back. So he's got the thread squirreled away somewhere. Quote Link to comment

He was having some privacy issues I believe, so he had it hidden and planned to come back and reorganize everything. Busy with life so he hasnt made his triumphant return. Just Joel
Yeah, I don't view the move as malicious just ill conceived with time and schedule as a contributing factor. 1 Quote Link to comment
The Dat-side
yeah where's Jun's stuff, but also where's Lance's stuff? No blog update, no build up date. Then I see this comment at the bottom. Is that you talking about your car? http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/2013/06/13/jnc-gear-giant-killer/#more-26561 1 Quote Link to comment
KyushaKai
Yeah that's my car. Been working on my car a little but mostly just driving it. I've got some things coming up for her soon though, so I'll be updating the build thread for sure. BTW, Oregonians and Washington-ites (?), I'm here in Monmouth, OR at my brother's house for a week and a half and am going to Formula D at Evergreen. I know there's the meet up on friday nights at Dicks in Washington (Everett I think?) that I'm going to try and make it to if it's going off this weekend. Also gonna check out Autohero while I'm up here. Anything else going on? Quote Link to comment
Tristin
If I can get my act together I might hit up Formula D. I have yet to go to any of the drift only events... Quote Link to comment
