I fucking love Lambos. I admit, I'd be hesitant significantly modifying a vehicle, then taking it up in the 200's. When you go that fast, an antennae ball will flip your car. I'd expect rivet on flares to disintegrate. Camber wheels to melt.

 

But I kinda appreciate a guy who just respects the creation of the machine and uses it. They give jobs to the fabricators. The body is hard to improve upon really, and the majority of the modifications done on a lambo would be done well enough so as to not be casually noticed. Like the twin turbos. I'll take one and drive it. I hope I get the chance.

That reminds me, I saw a black Countach under a car port in Hilo when I was there. Do you know the car? Is it real or a kit? The guy also had a street rod (a '32 or '34 if I remember right). So I figured they are either both kits, or he had some money and they are both real....

I bet I know exactly what house you are talking about. Parked behind his front fence, poorly covered just feet from the sidewalk. Not running. But the street rod looks like its a driver. Not sure if it is a kit. The emblem looks legit. I didn't question it till now. There is a white 90's Lambo that cruises Kona too. Has to be a porn star.

Okay, maybe I should have worded my original question differently. I know the reason REAL race drivers do it. But why do RICERS do it?

There are track days where road driven cars can be "raced" so likely that is why this one did it.
