Car Porn

Seriously, not to be rude, but doesn't that sort of invalidate your opinion on the car? You hate it just because it was built by GM, not because of what it is or isn't?

It's like me saying, "I hate that 510 because it was built by Chuck".

Then you say "but it's really cool".

Then I say "Yeah, but Chuck built it, so.."

Not rude at all, you made a valid point.

Yes, I am a prejudice man when it comes to GM. My hatred of GM with respect to the Cadillac brand goes back a long time. For 40 plus years GM has shit on the most prestigious American brand name still in existence. At one time Cadillac towered over the rest as the high mark of quality and luxury. Now it's an absolute joke.

Okay, GM can make a fast car, but have you seen the fit and finish of the new XTS, ELR, or CT6? I have, and it's an embarrassment. Body panels all wonky, plastic bumpers literally look like they had different paint than the metal work, flimsy plastic crap covering every inch of the engine bay, and crap quality fasteners and clamps as far as the eye can see. GM doesn't deserve the Cadillac brand IMO. They are a shlock organization that dressed up Chevy products with a bunch of bling and slapped a massive caddy emblem on it. That shit was inexcusable, because they flushed a great American icon down the toilet.

Make no mistake, I LOVE classic Cadillac, but I hate GM more. I hope that puts my statement "They might shit pumpkin pie for all I care, it's still GM, and that I can not abide." into context.

Yes sir. GM has cranked out more than a few cars with poor fit and finish (throughtout the 80s and 90s it was ALL of them). It seems to be their trademark. Ford has recently stepped up their game on that front, and I'm hoping GM will too at some point.

I simply admire a company willing to make a fast, manual transmission equipped, sedan/wagon. Of course, for 2016 they killed the wagon.  :sneaky:

hope that puts my statement... into context.

Indeed it does.
