paradime
Personally, I'm not a fan of the obvious establishment. Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, Lambo, etc. are great cars all of them, but desperately unoriginal status symbols that say more about the pocket book than the car itself. When I built my first 510 my dad said "why don't you save your money and get a BMW 328i?" He didn't understand, that's what I was rebelling against with my thrasher dime. For half the money I could build a car that was faster. That was an expression of who I am, and not simply what I could, or couldn't afford. The fact that my 510 was ugly made it that much sweeter when it straight up ate those shiny new (Mommy bought) BMWs alive. For me, true car porn starts in a tool box, not in a show room. 1 Quote Link to comment

paradime
Agreed, another story of a man before his time showing how primitive the status quo establishment is. That usually doesn't go over well. 1 Quote Link to comment
