difrangia
1959 mini the passenger watches your speed? The MINI was natural born a RHD creation. Guess they moved the steering wheel on this one for export to a LHD country. Only a couple feet between the wheel & the speedo. Guess they figured it wasn't worth moving to keep the price down. The passenger is almost sitting in the drivers lap. The British 'Peoples Car' that grew into something much bigger. 2 Quote Link to comment

Guess they moved the steering wheel on this one for export to a LHD country. They put the speedo dead center so it would work for both LHD and RHD markets. In fact, they still do... Hell, VW did it too. And that may be where they borrowed the idea... 1 Quote Link to comment

They were designed to be finished out LHD or RHD with as many common or similar stampings as possible to conserve $$. Quote Link to comment
Cosmonaut
NSU Sport Prinz Coupe from 1960's. Beautiful tiny 600cc two-cylinder with Bertone styling. I screwed up and missed a nice red one for $2000 by one or two days about twelve years ago. Arghhhh Quote Link to comment

Soundline
Isn't that front wheel drive? "The Beta chassis is one of the best front-wheel-drive platforms of the late Seventies and you can have a lot of fun in the Zagato. On 175/70 R 14 tires, there isn't much contact patch and Pirelli P4000s as shown are smart. It's a standard understeering front-driver, so if you want to do something interesting in a corner, you need to upset the chassis." https://www.hemmings.com/magazine/hsx/2012/06/Lancia--eacute--vinta-tutto----1981-Lancia-Zagato/3713211.html It was built to compete with the Rabbit... 1 Quote Link to comment
