Yes, the clean look. Never see that here. Go for it.

parts are so prevalent and cheap for 510s you can build a junker to a beater driver in a couple months,,,,try doing that with a b210
----------

B210s usually only need minor fixes to get to a beater driver in a couple hours.

It is and it isn't.

Regular B210s were marketed as Datsun Sunny in Japan. The blue one was marketed as a Datsun Sunny Excellent. It had unique body panels, trim and engines.

Sunny 1200 (B210, A12-powered)

Sunny 1400 (HB210, A14-powered)

Sunny Excellent 1400 (PB210, L14-powered 1973-1975)

Sunny Excellent 1600 (PB210, L16-powered 1976-1977)

For Sunny Excellent 1400, documentation says Model Series PB210. But the 1600 is lumped in with all the other B210s.

They were called B210s in Japan too. It said so in every JDM version on the underhood ID plate, and in the sales brochures. And the Japan auctions always say B210. Japanese fans call them B210.

It depends, of course, but it's common to change the battery, oil, add gas, use starting fluid to get it running and drive it off. Maybe change a tire or two. The engines are generally foolproof, except now the carburetors are getting old, but you can still usually get them running if not perfectly. You might buy one with a burnt valve, and that will require more than minor fix.

This Yakima car, even though the engine was loose -- I wouldn't be surprised if the engine is in great condition. They don't usually leak much oil except from the Rocker Cover gasket. You can usually just slightly tighten the oil pan and that will stop leaking. Most common causes of oil leaks are OVERTIGHTENING of oil pan and rocker cover bolts.

Why take a chance with a used clutch disc. By the way that is a genuine Nissan clutch. Can I have it?

If it is not oil-soaked, and the springs are tight, I would re-use it.

Some clutch wasn't making full contact with that flywheel, maybe it was the previous clutch. Probably should be refaced, and hopefully it didn't screw up the new disc.

That's the good 80 hp engine.

looks good, why are you tearing it down? Just give it a compression check.

Sweet, banner had mentioned it was one of the preferred options to drop in, im tearing it down for a few reasons

A. i dont trust the PO

B. i wanna know how the A series work, and to do that i need to see it with my own eyes

C. fresh gaskets and some paint will make it looks good in the engine bay and now is the time to do it

The clutch is or was new not long ago..  Im positive he did not resurface the clutch.  the motor came out of the white sedan    low milage car... should have just ran it.   He bought that car off of craigslist for 150 bucks  with out a title. its a clean car also but has rust issues.

Looks pretty damn nice, how do you get away with so many datsuns at an apartment complex??
im not sure  :ninja:  i have 3 paid spots, and 2-620's, 2-710 wagons, a B210, and a 4x4 720 - and im hoping for a 411 next weekend

I used to live in the same apartments as you (had 2 old school corollas and my roommate had a red lotus), I have no idea how you can get away with it. I was changing my distributor cap in my garage one day and happened to have my garage door opened and the manager walked by and started yelling at me for working on my car and she saw my stack of tires and was telling me my garage is for cars only, its not a storage unit (even though they had storage closets in them), blah blah blah. It was rediculous.

Anyways nice cars, I like all of them! :D

I went thru that crap with them too, so I moved my shit to a storage unit to play nice, took pics of all the garages they had full of shit and several others stacked full like storage units, and called a lawyer.

Problem solved, but in all honesty 2 or 3 are leaving very soon.

Know what you mean, used to live there to, with 4 cars and my 510 in  a single bay garage, I had torn the seats out of my 510 to put my new carpet kit in and they went off on me, we had 1 week left living there told the bitch to suck my cock LOL.  They tried lieing to keep our security deposit and shit, do not miss the A in asshole apartments.  Did enjoy being close to the store though, when we had the snow storm years ago was nice to just walk there hwen power was out.

Hey adam, remember when that transformer plant blew near the apartments, the explosion and then all the smoke LOL.

And adam one is coming here..yet 1 is going home with you to ;).  Its creepy how many i know that live there, even my old boss lived there, so it was hard to play sick since he could tell if i was home or not.
