datsunfreak
They look like it to me too, i honestly don't know but i'll have to find a way to use them or i'll forget the idea for now and only drive when it's sunny outside. Those are in fact RHD wipers. ^_^ I'll trade you some LHD wipers for them if you like? Quote Link to comment
mantas
Those are in fact RHD wipers. ^_^ I'll trade you some LHD wipers for them if you like? Thats a deal. PM me, they are brand spanking new and I can have them shipped this week. Quote Link to comment
mantas
Well....i did not expect these $200 seats to look and fit so good, should be a breeze to make a bracket for the back. The only screwy part is my clutch in the nissan took a shit. I either did not break it in correctly or the clutch pedal adjusment did a number on that brand new clutch. Another $1K down the drain......but i have no one but myself to blame. The flash does not help but they are new and not faded LOL. Quote Link to comment
mantas
No problem and thanks,im doing my factory gauges in white face as we speak and i ordered 2 yards at 180.00 from corbeau the same material as the seats for my door panels and kick panels,it should come out pretty good. Now im thinking FJ20 in my truck i dont know any more. Please post some pics when you are done, i bet it will come out bitchin. As for the FJ20, i'd probably do a KA24E but thats my $0.02. Most FJ20s are probably quite tired by now, so if you shave a few years off the age of an engine, it might delay the rebuild haha. I'm thinking the KA will take a dump in the near future so once its all running i'll be looking at building a fresh block. so wats the scoop on the drivelive? pics? If you are talking about the driveshaft i can do a photoshoot for you this weekend when the badboy is back up on jacks. I'll have to take some pics of the centerlink anyways. Rain-ex really does wonders if you keep it treated well. Those arms will still work for you, most people will not even notice. Heard that before, i guess i'll give it a go while i figure out the wiper situation. Afterall it is rainy season in "sunny" Ka-lee-for-nya (as Arnie would say it). Quote Link to comment
mantas
fyi if u put the dmt sticker on your truck, your ratsun credibility will plummet to the ground.......may never be saveable..just saying...fyi that tailgate is mint .....i would steal his ip address and google map him and stop by ....too bad the lazy craiglister is teasing u ... I would kill for that tailgate. I was tempted to ask the guy for the buyers info but the post got removed by the time that idea came to mind. This is not the first time i've dealt with people like that, and that is the reason i kept calling back. I don't remember what i was buying but i called some guy about a part, said it was sold because he could not understand me. So i called back the next day and he said he still had it. Ohh the hours i've wasted with craigslist people..... Quote Link to comment
mantas
Well and since i'm a bit bored i decided to upload some random pics that might be interesting.... These were the craigslist add photos of the truck. I was actually skeptical about buying this thing because it was not driven or registered since 1989. The owned did not have all of the documents, so registration was looking like an issue at the moment. Matter of fact DMV wanted close to $1k to register the car, i was able to knock it down to $256 when the lady saw my pre heart attack expression... First night at home... Right after AAA dropped it off. And finally parked. Just checking out the wheel fitment, and wanted to know what it would look like in 4x4 mode LOL. My s14 parked amongst some other clean looking cars. Yes, that is an E30 M3 in the back - love those cars. And this one, you will all appreciate. My friend's 71 RB25DET powered 240Z. Recently the RB took a dump (pistons decided to exit the block), if you want to see how clean the engine bay looks - google RB25DET 240z and you will not be dissapointed i promise. The cafe racer was his too, that was the day he traded it, and the shell to the right is mint - another Z ready for a makeover. Quote Link to comment
mantas
Spotted this 620 on the way back from work. Pulled up to the guy and gave him a thumbs up. He seemed pretty excited about it, i'm sure he does not run in to many datsun fans around this area. Cool truck, all original from the looks of it and a bit weathered but still on the road - all that matters. Got the seat mounted, the rear needs some minor bracket work / bird crap welds for insurance may be. Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
THose seats look real good with the matching stitch work. Quote Link to comment

mrbigtanker
Wow bro they look good,i kept seeing them for sale but never pulled the trigger.good job. Quote Link to comment
jrock4224
I only got the sticker because I found it on Amazon and i needed to use up a few bucks left on my giftcard. I know nothing about Datsun Mini Trucking but i'm guessing this sticker might need to come down HAHA. It was one of those moments - ohh looks cool, i'll slap that on my window. They look like it to me too, i honestly don't know but i'll have to find a way to use them or i'll forget the idea for now and only drive when it's sunny outside. However i've been screwed once by the weather - bright summer morning, hot outside, bam start pouring buckets out of the sky. I nearly crapped my pants with no windshield wipers doing 75 or so on the highway. my friend got one with something he ordered he gave me the extra one and was insulted when it went directly from his hand to mine to the garbage... i was like u will thank me for that later..... mantas
THose seats look real good with the matching stitch work. Thanks, i got lucky there i thought i would be stuck with red, but once the guy mentioned the blue stitching i was like - TAKE MY MONEY!!! they look good  n not faded trust me i know mine r custom faded n r :poop: but they work Photo shoot of that driveline does sound good! you should give the measurements too might help when others need to compare I'll throw in the measurements, i have them all and i did take pics of them but the pics were such crap i ended up not posting. And everytime i see nismo seats they are always faded, i love the look of them but i've always been under the impression that they fade quick - is that true? Wow bro they look good,i kept seeing them for sale but never pulled the trigger.good job. They are still available, just look for the CL add if you ever need them, it's one of those adverts that never leaves CL. I gotta say the mounting was a breeze and for $200 with sliders.....pfff - i practically murdered someone for them. my friend got one with something he ordered he gave me the extra one and was insulted when it went directly from his hand to mine to the garbage... i was like u will thank me for that later..... In that case, i'll take mine down. But honestly i'm curious why is that sticker such a bad idea? Besides the fact that its another forum for datsun owners (which i didn't realize until you mentioned something about it). I'm not sure if you are familiar with nissans. But is it like the Zilvia of the Nissan forums? Where no one knows shit, and talks trash or posts misleading information - high school kids with tight pants and no balls taking over the world (at least that's what they think). Sticker coming off tonight - HAHA. As for CL people, the only person that was great to deal with was a guy that bought my 08 jetta. Otherwise mainly flakes and scumbags. Yep they faded quick n cloth was weak but I like how low they sit Yeah if it wasn't for the fading i would have probably looked for used set, i've always liked the nismo seats. Quote Link to comment
mantas
No updates this weekend, had to help my friend get the 67 Camaro prepped for a start up. I'll definitely post up a few pics of it next weekend. But yesterday was a great day. Got to drive a Ferrari F430 around an auto cross course. The power of that Italian V8 is incredible.... Thats my dumb mug in the driver's seat. Not me but this is an awesome pic of the beast. Friend of mine getting ready to take the Lambo for a spin, he was a bit dissapointed with it because he kept downshifting into 1st by accident. I guess the paddle shifters are on the steering wheel and it's hard to shift. 1 Quote Link to comment
mantas
My beefy centerlink finally came in....but the measurements are off. Seems like the outer tie rods for the CJ7 that i used to measure everything were longer than the ones that came with the link, so i ended up buying some longer rods and those are too long, i guess i'll have to re-order the CJ7s again. Pain in the ass but at least i'll have a peace of mind, just look at the comparison to the original link. That rinky dink center link is child's play compared to this off road link. Rusty's Performance in AL got me this custom link, rod size was 16.5" so if anyone decides to go this route, now you know who to contact. Just remember that you will need the Gofreit tapered inserts welded into the pitman/idler/gear arms so you can use the CJ7 end links. 1 Quote Link to comment

mantas
Never mind crappy Italian crap let's get back to your Datsun build.. HAHA. I should have plenty of updates by end of week. Need to get it going in case the clutch on the 240 decides to take a crap after only 400mi. Quote Link to comment
mantas
Been some time since my last update. Haven't done much to the truck. Yesterday i finally got the steering situation squared away. Need to drive it around the block a few times and go over everything. Here are some pix. First....this is the reason i've been lagging with the truck. Here is the steering action... The pan has about 1/4" clearance when at full lock. Otherwise the gap is about 1/2". Going back to the garage, i'll try and snap some driveline pix, slave cylinder pix, etc. Quote Link to comment
mantas
Once again no real updates. I got stuck working on the slave cylinder. The damn line is leaking.... But here are some pics for shits and giggles. Ebay temp sensor adapter - POS leaks, and its because the darn threads don't go in. Oh well, i'll have to drill it out and figure something out.... Still a mess but i'll get to it once the real problems are sorted out. And here are all my 3 beauties in one picture. I love it, the BMW looks like it is pissed off, the datsun looks like it has a sad face, and the 240 seems to be smiling hahah. Quote Link to comment

mantas
What's the radiator from? How tall is it? Thanks :D Ebay description below: Core Size (H x W x D): 14-3/16 x 25-1/2 x 5/8 It will not mount up with the bumper in place, but the hood closes - so i'm happy. The unfortunate part about that radiator is i managed to crack it at the bottom with all that test fitting crap or it happened when i tightened down the lower hose. Here is the link should you wnat to buy one. http://www.ebay.com/itm/290711820243?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 Quote Link to comment
mantas
Well some great news. I buttoned up all the leaks. Seems like the radiator is not busted and took it for a short stroll only to find out my efi pump is mounted too far from the tank. Gonna relocate it and should be good. Slave cylinder was also leaking but got that sorted out it seems. And on the way to work today the nissan started to smell like fuel. Pulled over and sure as hell the thing was pouring fuel all over the engine bay. Time to fix my clamp issue and replace the hoses just for some extra assurance, i gotta say im glad to be alive today lol. Quote Link to comment
