qwk_snd
What engine is that and what is done to it to allow 10k rpms?! Quote Link to comment
NICKLE&DIME
its an L16 rebello built...with more horsepower. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
what is done to it to allow 10k rpms? Not much is needed for 10K rpms. The stock L16 does 7k, and the stock crank and pistons can do 10k. Needs stronger valve springs to rev to 10k. To make it last/endure for hours on end at 10k, a lot more can be done. A main concern is oil management, keeping enough oil in the pan, enough oil on the cam lobes, and keeping oil off the crank. Can use a crank scraper + knife edge crank, or use a dry sump system. 69srl311
190 HP out of a 1.6L? Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Try 1500hp out of a 1.5. It's been done but they don't last very long. Quote Link to comment
