  1. Thanks Mike for the Altima vented rotor kit I put on my Roadster. It now stops with no brake fade!!
  2. Before you depend on the front brakes, check them for corrosion and leaks. Very common on these cars! I changed mine to DOT 5 back in the '90s for this reason after I bought new disk pistons from Nissan $$$ to replace the leaky ones.
  3. I would think that if you have a wheel in the air the posi will be unlocked unless you have spring discs in it. I set mine up like G-Duax. No springs, coast through turns, less wear.
  4. I put a 3.90 roadster pumpkin in my 1966 520 to lower the highway engine rpms. It would go 70ish no problem without sounding like the engine was going to explode, just slow acceleration.
  5. Why would you need a spacer. Wouldn't the splined axle ends touch the shaft the spider gears are on? Second question, does your posi have 2 or 4 spider gears?
  6. If the timing chains and gears are too worn, it will be easy to grenade it. Go over to 311s.org for all the info you would ever need!
  7. When the brass syncros wear it allows the coupling sleeve to travel too far and the shifting inserts can pop up and that's all she wrote. If you open the box, I would replace the brass syncros. I didn't and it kept jamming in different gears, usually when it would get hot, until I replaced those wear parts.

  11. I used a standard Pertronics in my roadster for years than transferred into the J13 distributor in 2007. Very reliable.
  12. True story: When your electric fuel pump fails, at night, at work, 25 miles from home. You plumb the tank to the spare tire air valve to produce pressure to force fuel into the carbs and stop for more air when the car starts to sputter. Took three times and I inflated the spare to 50 lbs and opened valve open a bit.
