Nice weather in Childress TX brings out the drop tops. 1960 Studebaker Lark Convertible. Doesn't even have antique plates. Has to go through the safety inspection BS for the tags. My Dad had one of these too.

I like the TA, and not in an a ironic "look how cool I am for not being cool" kinda way, always liked them.

I love them. Had a '78 for a short time. Always wanting another one...

Mine looked like this...

My next one has to be black or brown...   B)

Yeah, I had one for such a short time that I never really even got to drive more than about 50 miles. It was that dark burgundy color. BUT, it was not the 6.6, it was that turbo 301 or whatever, with an auto. I am causally looking for one, my only real stipulation is I want it to be a four speed car.

Mine was a 6.6, and I came VERY close to buying a brown '80 turbo that was converted to a 6.6 (looked exactly like the car I posted). That is a dynamite combo. Because you get the 3.73 disc brake rear axle of the turbo cars, but with the torque of the non-turbo cars. It would only do about 95-100mph, but damn did it get there quick...

This is why I haven't bought another one yet.   B)

Next one I own must be a manual trans. Don't even care about the 4spd since I'd swap in a T5 anyway, but would prefer to start with a stick shift car to save time/labor. And since they are so much more rare it saves me from actually buying one...
