Zx brakes with a 510 master work but are very mushy. If you are keeping the stock rear drums get a 7/8" bore master from a 280z. If you're adding discs to the rear as well, get a 11/16" bore unit out of a 280zx. These will give you a better pedal feel.

I'll look into it.

I hope they're not too pricy. haha.

I'll see the feel first then decide.

They cost about the same as astock 510 unit. I think my 280z 7/8" master was $20-25 for a quality one.

I can't find any that cheap.

I ofund a bunch of em for around $75. lol

The 280zx assy I bought was also for mr2 inserts.

anyone recommend anything in specific to buy for em?

I was gonna buy these. The set has no pads and no inserts.

I was looking at rock auto and Tenaftefive ( great guy btw!) told me they had to be rear inserts from an 85-89 mr2.

I saw you mention in the 510 pic thread that your civic center console wasn't fitting properly.  I'm curious what the issue was, as I have one that I was planning to put into our 510 when the day comes that it starts going back together.

I'm gonna look into it some more but I believe it may be because my carpet is so thick and raises it up so the knob doesn't get all places.

I'll have to look into it more before being completely sure.

anyone know if I can do the diy rear coilover with subi struts and honda sleeves without slamming or tucking?

maybe with coilovers adjusted all the way up?

Hoping all my suspension comes together nicely.

I'm gonna do the best I can.

I was thinking to remove my control arms and what not, sand blast em.

paint matt black with rostoleum and return.

do you guys recommend doing my own headliner?

I was thinking to remove the one i have now, seal and peal, then replace with the ebay one?

I'd do this some time over summer when I redo my window rubbers.

my front window is new though, if i remove it, will it get bad??

I have never done a headliner myself but I have seen a bunch that looked bad because the job was rushed. If you are the patient type you will probably do fine. I think there is a DIY write up somewhere around here...

i did. i saw a diy but the guy seemed to know how to do it.

even following instructions, i feel like i would mess up.

the past guy covered up the light i the middle.

I'll prob take to a professional.

finished my front suspension.

my t3 camber plates arrived and all is well.

I just needa get $400 for skibs rear coilovers.

buyin some enkei 92's too.

to do headliner, you have to remove windows and felts?

so does that mean that the rubbers for the windows wont be good afterwards?

and i also wanted to paint the car.

does that also mean i'd have to get completely new rubbers everywhere?

68 regulators are different than the other years. I think theres some pictures of the differences in Hobbes 68 goon thread.

damnnn... well thanks for the quick reply!

I was thinking that maybe i could just fix my regulator.

My window won't roll up 100% and it leaves about an inch of space.

I'm not sure what to do. the inch is also at an angle because the corner near the b pillar is up but around the curve towards the front windshield isn't.

I'll try to get pics asap.

Your window might just be out of the track. Take off the door panel and look inside the door.

i did and it's in the track.

i even used some wd40 just incase anything wasn't working smoothly.

yet nothing.

and i compared it to the drivers door which is fine and they're identical.
