drowning in broken cars
Whats up everyone? So I finally sucked it up and spent a whole 10$ on a memory card for my camera so I could start a build thread, before the project is too far along haha. Heres the car as it sits now: So far Ive yanked out the old motor and settled the sohc in its future home and made up engine and tranny mounts as well as measuring for driveshaft . 1 Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Good start. That's not a B210. Quote Link to comment
drowning in broken cars
Okay, am I missing something here? So its a b310 series 210.... So its technically a b310? or a 210 with no b? haha okay so I dont even know what it is then. no big. Now that my build thread says b210 I feel kinda dumb haha. Doesnt look like I can change this? 1 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The last B-210 was made around Jan '78? Fixed the title. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
A B310 is far better than a B210 -- except for styling. Some prefer the 1970s style of the B210. B310 is wider, longer, smoother riding and better handling. It has a 4-link rear supension. Quote Link to comment
Kisor
The last B-210 was made around Jan '78? Fixed the title. Hmm. Mine was made 11/77, which actually is the month I was born. :) guess its one of the last few. Good looking 210, pricing up a DE swap for my B this week. What did your swap come out of? mrmark
I would love to do this to my Datto!! Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
The B310 was built February 1978 and sold in Japan. They came out in Canada before USA. The Canadian press was shown 1979 210s in September 1978 and got to rallycross them. The 510 Canada rally winner couldn't go any faster than the new stock 210s. The 280ZXs did 1 second faster. CWhip
I'm gathering parts to do this same swap! Looks good so far. What do your motor mounts look like? I've got some ideas for mine and an extra crossmember if they don't work out. Did you remove all the emissions stuff as well? Keep it up and nice work! Quote Link to comment
drowning in broken cars
I used one of the 210 mounts bolted to the drivers side with a plate welded to the side that picks up more bolt holes, and on the pass side I used the 210 mount welded to a plate that I drilled to catch 4 bolt holes on the block. for mounts I used skateboard wheels and some metal cup things haha. 1 Quote Link to comment
CWhip
Good deal! Pretty similar to what I was thinking about minus the skate wheel. Ha. Thanks for posting pics! Quote Link to comment
