nippon-kid
why is that? Quote Link to comment
sssr20det510
The 2860r is rated at 150-310 max and the 2876r is rated at 280-480 so you will be pretty much maxing the turbo out at 300 Quote Link to comment
nippon-kid
Oh okay do you know around where the turbo kicks in? Rpm wise Quote Link to comment
sssr20det510
should hit full boost by 3500 Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
i would also go with the 2876r also Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
How come the last 4 pages of your build don't have any pics? 1 Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
Yes it does and ya if I was lhd I would def. Pick a different turbo mani. And bigger injectors? For 300hp? for a gt28 youll be fine with 550s, a gt30 will need bigger or your just wasting your time with the bigger turbo. Quote Link to comment

RedBanner
Nice build so far mang lol, dave from experimental engineering brought up that chevy mount on the bluebirds list and doesnt know how someone came up with it. it was designed to accept a 280zx tranny mount. isnt that a t5 trans? A gm t5 trans so gm mounts sound right. Quote Link to comment

aintnobiscuit
You can hit 300 with basic bolt ons and a good tune. Pick up an s15 or s14 ball bearing turbo for a couple hundred dollars, a front mount intercooler, pay for an enthalpy tune with a z32 maf and bump the boost up to 15 psi. You're done. It's been verified with dynos all over zilvia.net and other websites :) Way cheaper (and safer) than purchasing a 2876. Plus you'll get more lag on that turbo 1 Quote Link to comment
nippon-kid
Do they sell s15 tyrbos new? Quote Link to comment
sssr20det510
yes they are internally wategated and max out at 330 hp they cost about 700-800 p/n 14411-91f00 Quote Link to comment
nippon-kid
I think im just gonna go with the 2876r since I just bought the peak boost mani boost and a risk wastegate Quote Link to comment
Josh K.
Pay to have it dyno tuned by an experienced sr tuner. The sr is very sensitive to timing in the boost transition area and a good tuner on a load dyno can get the spool up much lower in the rpm band. Buying an off the shelf tune is cutting corners and wasting money. If you can't afford to pay for a real tune then you can't afford a turbo IMHO! Josh- 1 Quote Link to comment
Topher88
im taking my car to a legit guy that has built the fastest SR one stock internals for the west coast. He has a RB26 Hako thats should be ready by Jccs and has had 10+ 510's. Im taking my car to him to tune mine. He tuned my buddies SR 510 with 370 whp and it pulls soo good. Quote Link to comment
