but what are they specifically called though, is what im getting at...

 

They are called "aftermarket trunk spoilers mounted upside down".   :rofl:

 

These guys literally take aftermarket trunk spoilers off later model cars and mount them upside down under the car.

 

I know they may all look similar, but they aren't the same. Doesn't really matter what car. Hit the junkyard with a tape measure and find one. Job done.  :thumbup:

I can't believe no one gave the real answer as to why people paint the letters. Because racecar.   B)

Well, it's almost shakotan. I guess it's not that low.

 

I think it qualifies as Zokusha and Kyusha. Sure it's half German but then japan and Germany were pals not so long ago. It's based on a Toyota Stout and I think that's a pretty good japanese classic. I think it fits the ZokuSha spirit if not the sort of fixed wild style we see today.
