datsunfreak
So I have this '81 210 2dr sedan parts car with no front clip, but good doors and quarters... And I recently found a yellow '81 wagon that needs some mechanical work but the body is nice... Then I saw this photo... Quote Link to comment
Laecaon
Do it! windows might be tough though... Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
I'm thinking metal panels? More of a "sedan delivery" sort of thing... Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
Do it! windows might be tough though... Also, notice in the photoshop pic above, the doors were not stretched to the proper 2dr length. When using doors from a 2dr, that quarter glass wouldn't be quite so long. And there's always lexan... I'm BLUE
If you think its that dumb of a project ... don't do it ... If you think you will be ridiculed for doing your "dumb project" ... man up But i think you are just being funny ... so do eettt Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
See, it doesn't work without the longer 2dr doors... :P Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
But i think you are just being funny ... There's always a good chance of that... B) I want to do it. And it will be badass. I just need another project like I need another hole in my head. But I'll probably do it anyway. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
you need full length flush glass Definitely puts it on the next level of awesomeness... Quote Link to comment
Icoblue
You should know better than to show a pic like that on Ratsun and expect anyone here to talk you out of it. The great thing about Lexan is that it is easily shaped at around 350°. Just build a jig in the shape that you want, then set an uncut piece of Lexan over it and heat it with a heat gun until it lays down on the jig. Or better yet, if you have access to some of those infrared heat lamps that painters use to spot-cure, it would probably work a lot faster than the heat gun. That is really slow going. Ideally you would want a vacuum former, but that window would just be too damn big for anything but an industrial machine. Long story short... Go for it! 1 Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Hmmmm this reminds me of a project I have in mind. Not a wagon, but similar in design. I say do it if you have the skill (Im waiting since Im learning to weld). Quote Link to comment

I think it probably just needs less shitty wheels... And more lower. B) Quote Link to comment
Icoblue
Yeah, I think the wheels on the Sunny go a long way toward the awesomeness, but it still wouldn't look quite right without that full length rear window. Did that guy actually do the modification, or just the concept image? That would look badass on there. Not a huge fan of the wood grain paneling, but I'd still rock that wagon. Quote Link to comment
Z chopper
that looks awsome. as Nike ads say "Just Do It" Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
Did that guy actually do the modification, or just the concept image? All photoshop. The car doesn't exist in reality. Yet. :P Not a huge fan of the wood grain paneling, but I'd still rock that wagon. Wood paneling is doubtful at this stage. But I like it. Quote Link to comment
