BACARDI_DWB
if you cant remove a switch, then are you really capable of rewiring the headlights and tail lights? Quote Link to comment

nismopu
I believe you need the needle nose pliers to hold the shaft so you can push and twist the knob off. Its baffled alot of people on here there first time as well. Dont let em fool ya into thinking they didn't struggle with it. 1 Quote Link to comment

Llittle_Llama
do you still need it mopar? and just hold it with pliers and twist the knob off? i assume counterclockwise..... Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Hold and push down and twist. It might twist in either direction, but be sure to have the lettering the right way up when you put it back on. Bacardi is thinking of the heater controls. The '55 Chev you had to reach under the dash and over the switch and push a tiny spring loaded button and the knob and shaft would pull right out. I had a '57 too, and I think they were the same. The ting that's connected to it and the wiper is probably a fiber-optic cable for transmitting light to illuminate the switch knob at night. Quote Link to comment
Llittle_Llama
sounds about right...the ting goes to some little metal can ting.....pics tomorrow.... Quote Link to comment
