INDY510
. Lowla Useta be a 1969 Datsun 510 ...... . I got her in Feb. 2002 as a white bubble flared 2 door rolling shell,, that looked pretty straight and rust free after a few paint colors I noticed the driver's side quarter panel, and tailight panel, is all riveted on .. without any welds... I still need to fix that.. July 2002: New clutch on a L20b with a webber DGV: May 2004: Cheap Maaco paint job: 2 weeks later someone hit my LF fender, and the tired L20 started to overheat a few weeks after that: 1 Quote Link to comment

INDY510
The R6 motor was never going to work .... not enough torque, and I didn't have a welder yet ... so I tried a FWD CA16DE, out of a FWD Pulsar: I kept hacking into the firewall, until the front sump oil pan fit behind my stock crossmember: .... the motor was moved back about 8" Quote Link to comment

I got a L18, with dual Mikunis, off craigslist: Had to weld in a new firewall: I wanted to make the engine bay really clean: I made a bigger opening for the Griffin radiator: Quote Link to comment

INDY510
1" raised LCA front X-member, adjustable LCA's, T/C rods, shortened 510 struts w/ MR2 inserts ... blah blah blah Datsun: I started cleaning up the replacement LF fender: Quote Link to comment
INDY510
And I got a staggered set of Panasports ..... 16x7 +22 front, on 510 struts .... and 16x8 +12 rear I painted the 16x8's black ... .. and started dreaming about having the lowest 510 ever: Quote Link to comment
INDY510
Look at the brake drum: ..... easy way to lower a 510 ... The front was low enough, with the coilovers turned all the way down ..... and 3/4" spacers to fit the 16x8's at full drop: But I needed bags in the back, to go any lower .... concrete bags .. Quote Link to comment
INDY510
And the 16x8 +12's didn't exactly 'fill up' the rear flares: So I started researching what offset I would need ... I borrowed these 13x7 wheels off my friend's AE86: . (unknown offset) 185/70/13 tires: Quote Link to comment
INDY510
Then I went crazy, again ... and I decided to 'body drop' the front end 2 inches: Quote Link to comment
