SR20DETdatsun510
Not sure about the cowl drain, where is it at? Where does it drain to? Is it necessary to keep? Quote Link to comment
screamer510
Should be in the centert there. It drains the cowl area underneath the wipers but is usually filled with decomposing organics...and rust. Better get that checked out! Dan Quote Link to comment

thisismatt
Not sure about the cowl drain, where is it at? Where does it drain to? Is it necessary to keep? The drain is in the center and lets water out of the cowl area. Like Dan said, it often gets clogged up with decomposing leaves/etc and rusts out...even more so if you've welded/filled the opening shut! The elipse is where there should be a slot opening... SR20DETdatsun510
How can you hate on this build!!!!! Believe me, I am not building this car to show off or to show how "Baller" I am. I got great pricing on everything and am building this at almost half the cost it normally would. So there are these certain people that just never have anything good to say about my car. My car had kind of a bad rep I guess in So Cal but everything that was scoffed about was remedied. This dime is no longer the same car. I have been through EVERYTHING and have made it mine! I rescued this car and am trying to show it its potential glory. Go ahead and hate. This car is finally built right! I'll have he last laugh! LOL Ok, Whew... Feel a little better now.... Carry on..... hahahaha Quote Link to comment
sedan20
damn... there was some pent up emotions ^^^ what DID people say? i am curious... first thing comes to mind is pulling the log from your own eye before the splinter in someone elses. Quote Link to comment

Not sure what your analogy means. Something like "Do whats good for me first?" Anyways, I think people are just jealous or envious. I am envious of some other peoples rides but I praise their machines. I know and appreciate what it takes to get a car restored and into clean condition. It's also the so called pre-madonas that the first words out of their mouths are always, "Did you do the work yourself?" Not everyone has the space, tools and time to do allot of this. I do what I can when I can. And when I can't, I have someone else do it. But I did not buy the car this way, it was built! Partially by me and partially by others. So nuff said. lol Quote Link to comment
Eagle_Adam
FUCK EM!!! keep on keepn on man! love the build, love the details, LOVE that blue. The more haters you have the better off you are! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxxPLDZnqwA 1 Quote Link to comment
sedan20
Not sure what your analogy means. Something like "Do whats good for me first?" lol. no. its a biblical analogy. they need to worry about their own damn issues before nitpicking your minor flaws. 3 Quote Link to comment

SR20DETdatsun510
Looks sweet. Hard to tell from the pic...did you fill/weld shut the cowl drain? Should be in the centert there. It drains the cowl area underneath the wipers but is usually filled with decomposing organics...and rust. Better get that checked out! UH OH (wish there was a nail biting emoticon).... that could be some extra work on your hands. ^^^ So I went down to the shop and while there, I checked the cowel drain. It is there and unobstructed. It is just hard to see because of the primer. Whew! Quote Link to comment
