1964 Datsun NL320

I am waiting for the Holley Double Pumper 600cfm carburetor. Today I installed the radiator, the oil coolers, and 14" electric fan. I also wired up the starter and filled it with oil. cranked it with the key.

 

 

life is good. I am almost done.

Have you done the sheet metal work inside it yet?

How about a photo of the new tunnel.

 

My buddy that works making ventilation ducting is going to help me make one this week. I love being able to use metal brakes to make things look decent.

So another update.

 

I recently installed 2 oil coolers that I stole from an AE86 Corolla, the aluminum radiator, and the 14" electric cooling fan.

 

Here are some pics of everything including the Holley 600cfm Double Pumper that I installed today. Looks really cool. It is getting so close.

Thanks for this post Ryan. You inspired me to purchase an NL320. I'm shipping it all the way from Oregon to me on the east coast. I'm hoping I can get a motor in it like the one you have. Do you have any more videos of it running and/or driving?

Yes you do, the last I heard, some drive belt broke. :lol:

You need to update the progress also, how does it drive?

 

It drives awesome! pulls hard all the way to 9000 rpm. the extra bonus is the huge flame that comes out when you let off! carb is pretty well tuned now too! i need to finish the trans tunnel to really get it done.
