Morrisun
I haven't seen many automatic 1200's and this one took a couple of weeks to arrange to see it. It is a clean car with some wear on the paint, still a very cool survivor Had an almost new set of tires in the trunk-so no truck pics. Tags expired in 2000. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
So......... ?????????????????? You buying it or what? If not.... why not????. Quote Link to comment

KELMO
My coupe was an automatic.....once upon a time, think I even have the emblem layin around somewhere. That front tire looks original :D Oh, and btw, that thing is Frickin Beautiful. They just grow 1200's in your area don't they? Quote Link to comment
Morrisun
The owner of this coupe hadn't committed to an exact number but something north of $6500.00 The blue coupe at Blue Lake was built by Dave Chick and at one time was an automatic car but.. has 63A dogleg 5 speed. Not buying this one- don't have the $$$$! Quote Link to comment
Burabuda
6500 he? will be sitting on it for awhile Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Only $6,500? A Versa cost $11,000, so 6,500 is a big savings. Quote Link to comment
KELMO
And the 1200 will still outlast the Versa :D 1 Quote Link to comment

whitey01
I bought a new '76 B-210 and was only $4,200. The 4 speed was about $2200 I think thats what my uncle paid Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Yes, but what type of currency did you use? $2200 Canada dollars would have been used-car price. Datsun 1200 sold new for $1800-$2200 US Dollars. The 1971s were least expensive. By the time 1976 came around the B210 was commanding a small premium due to the gas crisis having reset everyone's expectations. Quote Link to comment

RATDAT3
If Dale Mathews bought it from him......he bought it for cheap----especially if he is selling it for $4500--wish one of us would have got it! Quote Link to comment
DRIVEN
He doesn't buy cars -- he steals em. My brother had a Rambler he was thinking about selling. It was a mechanically sound, 1 owner car with fresh paint and under 70,000 miles. Mathews said the best he could offer was $1500. A couple weeks later my brother sold it for $4k to the first person who called on his ad. I've seen similar cars in his showroom for twice as much that weren't nearly as nice. Quote Link to comment
RATDAT3
Exactlly! He's a dick! I've known him for years and I took my grandfathers 64 wildcat, 63k one owner all original to him and he said $400 bucks. It was a 4 door no post and a cool car. Needed some love cus he just stored it in a barn, but $400---dick! Quote Link to comment
DRIVEN
It's a business. Guess that's why he's still around after all these years. Quote Link to comment
RATDAT3
Yeah, he started out accross from my friends Dad's shop on 52nd and Foster. Then when Memeory Lane Motors out of biz, he bought that. I went to a party at his house in Seaside---Pompus ass! Quote Link to comment
