Go with a ka24e for sure. You can find runners for like $200 with tranny's. Harnesses are kind of tough because tards cut them up when they do their swaps, but you can find them (I have a few, dont ask, I need them all!!). Plenty of getup and go for such a small truck :D. I just like ka's, not a big fan of overpriced and overrated jdm motors personally.

 

ps: What's wrong with 240's?! Good motor, sexy chassis? What's not to love?!

the turbo is near or hits the solid steering shaft on a left-hand drive truck. The RHD 620 shown has fewer issues.

 

As long as you don't think its a bolt-in process (you can weld) and you realize it won't go in for just the cost of the motor then you can do it. A turbo engine might require a top mount manifold that brings the turbo up near the hood.

 

Any non-turbo engine would have far fewer install issues. CA18DE or KA24DE
