flatcat19
itb's is the plan... im just not sure how long the runners need to be yet... further research needed in that department... i believe i will be keeping the stock exhaust manifolds up to the cats... then do custom piping from there... the stock ones hug the block so nice i cant see need to build new ones... thanks infiniti for the freebee... lol... after doing some reading im starting to consider sellin my tranny and gettin a 6 spd and adapter plate... not sure how the ecu you will react to that tho... further research needed there too If it's not OBD-II, you should be fine. There's a separate computer for the trans. On my SR20DET and one of my KA24E swaps I ran the auto ECU (no speed limiter :) ) with no problems. It IS an OBD II motor. Running throttle bodies will get rid of the MAF. Aftermarket EMS will be needed. This eliminates so many problems...but creates so much work. And throwing a 6 speed in there only gets you closer. I was against you at first...but I'm on board. Want moar. More work. More OIC's. Quote Link to comment

rusty12ver
What six speed? Do the vq and the vk share the same design as far bellhousing design? Quote Link to comment
nismo dr
if you take the intake plenum off, every intake has its own runner, it doesnt have a lower manifold, which has always made think of all the itb possibilities. edit: I was wrong, I was thinking of the vh Quote Link to comment
Dirttrack510
This is a really radical build. I hope you can pull it off. I love big engine small car builds. This looks like one hell of a challenge though. I'd never take it on myself. Quote Link to comment

I believe the VH is just so superior in every way. All the JGTC cars from a few years ago running 4.0 VH. Damn. Quote Link to comment
flatcat19
I'm just gonna leave this thread and never come back... :P Oh no. Stay. We're just talking non-pushrod motor. Nissan is just full of V. It gets confusing sometimes. VK's ain't nothing to scoff at. VH's can be wound the fuck out. Mazworx does alot of VH support. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Nissan is just full of V Nissan has the best V-technology. Quote Link to comment
Drahzzel
Considering that they use these engines for the Super GT GT-R and 350Z there is no shortage of epic with a VK45. B) Quote Link to comment
