Jersey,

In the years I worked for Datsun/Nissan in Seattle I don't recall anything concerning 620's. There was a service bulletin about oil consumption which resulted in new rings for a few vehicles. There was also a bulletin about the five speed trucks having the mainshaft retainer nut backing off. Neither of these two resulted in a recall.

Lowrd,

Well that's good to hear that the 620's had no issues that would cause them to be recalled!

Thanks for the info! Jersey

The only Datsun recall I can think of offhand was some B210s were recalled due to inadequate fuel tank mounting hardware, and the recall was to reinforce the mounts.

Nissan's first really bad recall was the Vanette, which was subject to a total recall buyback in 1994 due to engine fires.

A few of the 620's were recalled, it was mostly from owners not being bad ass enough to own them. There aren't any issues with that now, all of the ones recalled have been taken care of, and now the ones still running are in proper hands. There has not been an issue with idiots since the early 90's. Mine was recalled about a year and a half ago, but it was recently given back for a "second chance" ;)
