skunk
Skunk, What did you do to get all that paint off? started with sand paper, then used por-15 paint striper, then used metal wire brush heads for the power drill. but then i found these paint striper heads for the drill at the hardware store. They look like a black stringy sponge, it worked great. Quote Link to comment
izzo
I think they are better on the high beams. Yes, you need bigger fog lights, they look kinda funky to me where they are mounted, but thats just my opinion  I mounted my 7" apart (it was actually a little more, because of the width on the piaa lights, so its probably closer to ten, but if you measure between each light on the light housing, they are 7" apart) Quote Link to comment
skunk
i mounted them that far out because i would like to run 4 total fog lights. but yeah, i want to get 7 inch fogs, Quote Link to comment

Not sure what size of lights these are, but they are the PIAA 510's  Got them on a trade from Nismo DR Quote Link to comment
MicroMachinery
Dude, this thing is looking awesome! I'm loving the headlight/fog setup. Looks great. I'd put the grills over the yellow lights.. I think it looks cooler, and on top of that, those are the ones that you want to protect more(they're harder to replace). Keep it up man, I want to be taking some rolling shots this bad boy soon. Quote Link to comment

skunk
im freaking out, i spent all weekend stripping paint and grinding rust. then used the POR-15 , did the last coat(4coats) at about 5pm yesterday. went to work (10pm), and when i got off work it was raining (i think it started raining at about 4am). got home, and theres was a few small pools of water on the floors. Seems like the POR was more then dry but im still stressed about it. I really hope that did not mess anything up. i dryed up the water and covered the car with a tarp. should i be worryed? or do you guys think it will be ok. Quote Link to comment
skunk
its going to be fine, it was more then dry before it started to rain, por is the shit. i dont even know why i was stressing out. Quote Link to comment

skunk
yeah im really happy with them, cant wait to do more of the car. might do the top on the inside next and or the trunk. i just need some good metal, so i can cut out the spare tire spot. Quote Link to comment
skunk
made some gaskets for my crazy home made air filter set up. cleaned up my radiator not mounted, just resting in engine bay Also tossed some primer down on the floors Ive got to get some flexible hose for the radiator, the hoses that were on before just barely worked. But when i got the car the radiator was mounted lower then it was supposed to be. so when i went to put the el dizzy in the hose was very much in the way. so i moved the radiator to were it belongs the hoses i had no longer work. I tried a few different hoses and none would work just right. Im going to get some flexible steel hoses, just got to wait for them to come in the mail. 1 Quote Link to comment
