LAYEDOUTB2K
we had them made in a carbon fiber looking vinyl to match our flares, it turned out real cool. we had a 510 door that had it on and laid paper across it and ran a pencil across it sideways to get the edges. then we just took it into a vinyl place and they made it from that. pope_face
pl521... I might be interested in them if you start making a set, depending on cost. Are you going to make a decal for the tailgate logo as well, or just the sides? Or... if you're up for it, how about scanning it and posting it up, or just giving the dimensions and font? Steroid
Hey. We discussed this a while back on the other forum. There were these two types that dealers applied. My first truck had this type. I wouldn't mind a set to use someday on the "tilted" lettering. Here is a picture of My first truck in 1974 before it became the Datsun SS. Quote Link to comment
pope_face
Good God, that is the longest whip antenna I've ever seen in my life... what is that, 10 feet long? Personally I prefer the first style posted... but, that's just a personal preferance. Mike, do you have the link to the other thread? I think I recall seeing it too, but it's been a while since I've seen it... Quote Link to comment
Jester
Price pending, I would be interested in a set. Personally, I like the one posted first. Jester Quote Link to comment
OL YELLER
funny as it may seem..................I like the "tilted" one..(Old Datsun Fart that I am) Quote Link to comment
Jester
I do like the font of the later, but I like the look of the solid white with just the letters cut out on the first. The later just looks too busy. Jester Quote Link to comment

71-521
I don't remember seeing you post about them... what were you asking for a set? I still would like a set that says "Datsun" for across the bottom of my truck... like this: Quote Link to comment
pope_face
71-521... I know I'm going to sound like an ass for saying this, and I don't mean to be rude, but I think that's the same picture that started the thread... check the first post... pl521 mentioned he was considering making a run of them, and Mike (Steroid) mentioned that there are a couple sources for them... ]2eDeYe
It was back in the nwde dayz... Can't find the pic. Looked about like this but this is like the negative without the stripes.... Ted has a set I cut but he's gotta paint a truck first :P Quote Link to comment
]2eDeYe
I think I was asking $30 from the peeps that pm'd me at the time but nobody ever got back on it. There was a website selling them for $80 but I cant find it anymore. They are occasionally on ebay as well. Quote Link to comment
pope_face
If someone can give me the dimentions I can hit up a couple shops and find out a rough cost for a run... Actually, I'll measure the length tommorow morning on my truck, and I can guess the height, unless someone actually knows... Quote Link to comment
irsa76
I'm thinking about doing a "Ratsun' stencil along the doors on the 720. Might have to do it in tape first, wife hates the idea already. Quote Link to comment
shane_lxi
^ haha, tape. Just do it in blue masking tape!! And if you think that antenna is long, pope, you should try living in washington state for a while :P, lol. Quote Link to comment
irsa76
That's what I'll be using, just found a roll. Was about to do it now, but I've got a thunderstorm coming and the truck is still in the back yard, actually still where it's sitting in my avatar! Quote Link to comment
Steroid
OK. Here is (was) Dave Bednarczyk's truck as it came from the dealer. Also a side view of the Golden Goose. These photos of both trucks are circa 1974/5. Notice also on Dave's truck the chrome steps and handles that were added on the back of the cab. Also, in the last photo, the stickers that were added to His bumper. Enjoy!! Quote Link to comment

Not to try to screw any one on here, but I'm like the rest of y'all......building this truck on a budget and free is my price. Quote Link to comment
Steroid
Here might be the picture that started it all........... Truckin' magazine's bubblegum trading card. Once again, a side view of the Golden Goose. Quote Link to comment
Pacific coast Datsun
Mike, i wonder how much Chuck would charge to make a set if we get him the artwork? BTW, what is written on the camper shell..i can see So cal but not the last word. Quote Link to comment
Steroid
Here is another Truckin' card. No side stripes on this truck, but another view of a "high end" show truck of 1974. These are both Pacific Top camper shells. I have one that I located that will be on My blue truck someday. Ron, You remember these days?!?!?! Quote Link to comment
