Historical Datsun Documents from 1959

Some of you may remember I bought a 1958 Spare Parts manual a wile back. Well as a bonus, inside the front cover are some historical letters from 1959!! I finally got them scanned so I could share! Pretty neat!

Awesome insight into the early days of Datsun in the US. I especially like the bumped capital letter problem on the typewriter they were using.

I found the window sticker price paper in the panel where the rear quarter windows are on my 1965 impala convertible.

I too notice the bumped capital letters. Did anyone else catch #20 of the "pre delivery" check list?

What a great find fisch! I liked the ending paragraph on the delivery check list. Could this be what the U.S. manufacturers are lacking?

No mention of checking paint for shipping and handling scratches. Early Datsuns came with a can of touchup paint of the same lot as the paint on the car. Perfect color and texture match. I still have the can that came with my car, however would you be surprised to hear that 43 years have dried it up?
