datsunrides
Should be an H20 engine. Quite similar to the Roadster R16 engine. Mark Quote Link to comment
greybeard
Should be an H20 engine. Quite similar to the Roadster R16 engine +1 sold a few of those years ago... Quote Link to comment
freaky510
there is a write up on the old Datsun owners group on how to convert one to spin more than 3000rpms it a lot of work. Quote Link to comment
69FJWagon
I had an H20 in my old roaster I had years back, from what I was told not only was it a forklift engine it was also a replacement option for the roadsters...and it spun past 6500 rpm with no problem :P Quote Link to comment
elmerfudpucker
That motor is prob in good shape being propane, Sometimes my scrap guy comes across them. Quote Link to comment
67411sss
I've got one of those, it's an H20 and roadster guy's use the crank to stroke the R16(some call it an R20) i've driven a roadster with an H20 and it's a lot peppier than the R16. A great thing to do is to buy forklift parts for the R16 , apparently a lot cheaper to buy forklift parts for a rebuild than R16 parts. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
It's probably governed. Quote Link to comment
72240z
Did they jack comp for the propane models? Would seem a waste to run 130 octane and bs low datsun comp. Quote Link to comment

INDY510
I drove a old 70's TCM forklift at my old job....... it looked like a L6 motor with a 2 barrel carb Slowest pile EVER!!!! ...... .. the only thing that was fun is if you build up speed right into a mud puddle, and turn the back wheels really fast...... it feels like a weak drift,,, or it feels like you are about to flip over My friend got stuck in the mud SO bad one day___  Quote Link to comment
