Jason
Sure sounds like it lou. But nope, the one I know of was a yellow Goon and only says 30K miles, or 130K. LOL It was originally a California car. Beautiful shape too. You wouldn't believe the interior! . I like the 710 'goons Mike! I shouldn't have given mine to Denis' brother .... Oh well, no matter, he's been driving it for 3 years now. Those are nice springs Mike, you should like them. Personally, I wouldn't lower a car more than 2" say, I kinda like my ride a bit more cushy these days, old man's behind you know ;) ! Quote Link to comment

datzenmike
Can't find my rubber pants for the bike ride to work so will take the car. Too dark to see. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Well thanks to butters68 on the Realm, and a big T/Y to Jason for all his trouble getting them to me, I now have: Yes I know they are flattops. No-one likes 'em. I've also heard that they can be de-smoged and I'm a big fan of the underdog so I'll be trying that.I've also heard that it's the 240 or 260 flattops that are shit. datto510
Cool Mike! I like the air filters on those. Does the 710 have a cable throttle setup? What is the cast # on that manifold. I have heard thet the #220 is the one to have but never really heard why. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Mine with the L18 has a linkage set up like the 510. The manifold says JAPAN K14 Anyone know what this is for: . Quote Link to comment
Guest 510kamikazifreak
Those will fill the engine bay nicely Mike. Does your 710 have the "telescoping" throttle arm? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Beats me lou. Can you tell me? . Quote Link to comment
Guest 510kamikazifreak
Yup does too  will make for a much easier install Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Thanks lou, I saw the rubber boot but didn't want to jinx it by saying anything. The JDM 710 came with dual SU's. Quote Link to comment
Guest 510kamikazifreak
Thanks lou, I saw the rubber boot but didn't want to jinx it by saying anything. :sneaky: Does make life alot easier that it does. Unsure what a jdm lnkage looks like? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Have no idea. Quote Link to comment
zerow
Mine with the L18 has a linkage set up like the 510. The manifold says JAPAN K14 Anyone know what this is for: . It mixes in fresh air for the smog manifold. Here is a pic that I set up for...I don't remember...but it gives you ways to de-smog that K14 manifold: Hope that helps. BTW, the flattops (tuna cans) have some other stuff that need to be "modified" in order to make them 'dolphin safe', go here to get the low down: http://www.jetlink.net/~okayfine/SU/tunacan.html Good Luck Mike! datzenmike
Thanks zerow. I read that page but definitely missed that part. Good to know. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Well haven't done much on my 710, well, unless you include dreaming and 'visualizing'. I have a 5 bolt flywheel on the way. Best of all, by incredible happenstance, I'm closing in on a set of these bumpers that are only in Central/South America?: . Quote Link to comment
INDY510
You better get the grill and the turn signals too....... my turn signals are above the bumper I think the chrome wagon bumpers are different in the rear... ... I wouldn't mind some nicer bumpers Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Yeah, I noticed that. The picture I was shown was from a JDM Violet, so I assumed the South American ones might be slightly different. If they are as shown... I'm digging the grill too. ;) Quote Link to comment
bonvo
are you getting the fenders and lower valance to? there different Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Damn it to hell! Quote Link to comment
INDY510
The fenders look very similar............I bet you could modify them and the valence.... It would be worth a try if you can locate a grill and bumpers. Don't give up Mike..... the USDM bumpers are so square... and if you can get them to fit... It will be less guesswork for me :D Quote Link to comment
bonvo
im not saying they wont bolt up im just saying the sheet metal is different Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Well I was offered the fenders too, I wondered why. Trying to get picture of it. It's somewhere deep in the interior of B.C., go figure. Quote Link to comment
