72 327
I was going ot buy one but $$$ got in the way. Seem to be a nice product and they will let you pick them up so you dont pay the shipping. But then again Im only 400 miles round trip and I love driving.. Quote Link to comment
RadioRedline
It says their hand laid...and have to make them to order, so theres plenty for everyone! Radio Quote Link to comment
72 327
That also means that there is room for error. If you emial them they will send you via email a bunch of hood they have done. Also they will show you the underside where the stock hinges mount. Looks pretty good.. Quote Link to comment
RadioRedline
So would it be possible to mount hood pins on this beatch? Radio Quote Link to comment
72 327
So would it be possible to mount hood pins on this beatch? Radio Yes you dont have to use the hinges. Just like you stock hood install PIN's and drill your hood. Quote Link to comment

Cuts metal like mad
You forgot the neon underglow... or are you gonna go high tech this time around and do LED underglow? Quote Link to comment
RadioRedline
I went LED on my Ion, Varad baby, and no Datsun has neon, cept the halo lights Radio Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
$350 plus shipping to drill holes in it, don't do it. Quote Link to comment
izzo
radio the weight you save by getting that is useless. L series motors power the trucks with stock hoods just fine. Quote Link to comment
koback68
My son has one on an 06 sti . we also had one on a corrado. At high speed you will most likely see lift. These were very high end hoods Quote Link to comment
sick620
I'm thinking this : Radio ya me kinda the same except red truck and black trim with the carbon fiber hood.... im going to put red underglow on mine i think. i was really thinking about bagging mine but i am having second thoughts because i dont want to cut up my baby :( Quote Link to comment
Str8_69
"Our CARBON FIBER HOOD is fully functional." For $350, it better be. It would suck if you installed it and it didn't open. Yo Radio, seems like a lotta scratch for a lotta nuthin', unless you are going ultra light for ETA's at the drag strip. But if it's just for bragging rights, go for it. Quote Link to comment
HRH
How much money to save 5 pounds, if that? Hmm, that comes out to about 70 bucks a pound? Expensive fruit I say! Waste of money unless it's a show or race car. Quote Link to comment
skunk
you know you could just make a mold of you own hood and try and make a fiber glass one for a fraction of the price, and that way you could add a cool air scoop or somthin Quote Link to comment
BlakeZula
now call me a retard... but i think think that its probably more so for looks than function HEY im just sayin' your not really lookin for weight reduction on an old datsun TRUCK are you? but my opinion is...that it looks bad ass. Madness
I would probably buy one just to have a straight rust free hood... not a big fan of hood pins but they have some pretty sick flat ones now. Would probably take a little bit of sanding and maybe some skim coat to get the weave texture out though. Quote Link to comment
goes2fast
If you don't need perfection, they have blems on ebay sometimes for $300. I've been trying to get them to do front fenders (no chance of rust) but they said they wouldn't do them unless they had enough requests for them. They also do fiberglass, I guess they can use the same molds. Later, :):thumbup: Quote Link to comment
ichorid
if any one thinks they will stay down with only stock hood latches their crazy. I had mine on my 510 for maybe 3 days till I drilled holes for hood pins. Its needed. hood pins look cool too. more mad max for your buck. Quote Link to comment
