KELMO
Have those bullet style on the 1200, effing love 'em. So, How far back from the front edge of the fender should the mirror be on the 510? Will be doing that on my goon (if I ever get to it). Not sure what style I have for the goon, maybe flat and round. 1 Quote Link to comment

KELMO
I still think DF should post the measurement. I mean an inch usually dosen't matter............well for most things B). Quote Link to comment
jay123
Pulled the half-shafts off today to get new boots on them and cleaned up.. Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
So, How far back from the front edge of the fender should the mirror be on the 510? I still think DF should post the measurement I could, but if you measured it wrong... ^_^ Ray is right. Feel inside the frame on the upper frame rail. You will feel an indention about 3" long, in a half moon shape. That's where it goes. A good rule of thumb measurement is, on the '70+ the leading edge of the mirror base should be even with the trailing edge of the side marker light lens. 1 Quote Link to comment

KELMO
And here is a different angle and a might bit closer. Now it is driving me just a little crazy wondering if the 1200 has this, guess I'll check next time I am out there. 1 Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
Yep, dug up some old oics myself and felt much better. If you want to fender mirror your 1200 let me know and I'll measure mine. Took my measurement off a friend's JDM Sunny, so I know it's correct. But I didn't write it down... ^_^ Quote Link to comment
KELMO
Already did both of the coupes and I think I got them pretty close, lined up near the rear of the side marker light. Now I've done it, gone an posted an oic of a 1200 in a 510 thread. Now everyone will fart in my general direction. The location may or may not be right, but it works for me. 5 Quote Link to comment

edekalil
To much going on so just aired out the Goon. Gotta get this in the garage out of the weather. Just got home after coffee and opened up the Goon and surprised that there's no wetness on the floor boards with all the rain the last two weeks on and off. So now to figure what hoses I need to put the gas tanks back in the Goon and 70/510 sedan. I need to get these two up and running on there own this summer. 3 Quote Link to comment
