  3. Nice truck. Cool canopy. Small secret for all you 521 owners. When you see a original battery hold down most likely the truck has been taken care more than most 521's as the hold down is very seldom seen.

More of this type of thing should be done. 100 years from now when nobody knows how to work on our cars, stuff like this will be some great reference and not information/knowledge that has been lost like in previous decades. It already is a great reference. I went to the puyallop fair early bird auto swap/antique show and got to over hear a lot of old dudes spouting off the inner knowledge they had and I always wonder how many mechanical secrets they will take to there grave to be lost forever.
  16. Yeah i've been to the dump and the scrapper and the book is pretty close.
  17. So I cleaned up my oil gauge recently after spending a couple hours looking for a correct replacement socket with bulb. Its a older stewart warner and I'm not even sure it's a oil gauge but it looks like one. I got both the socket w/bulb and new chrome bezel for dirt cheap on ebay. It was the only correct socket on ebay but I think you can still get them from stewart warner. I also took some black testers model paint and brushed over the chips on the outside ring. before after
