  3. Dave, it's great to see you're improving! I didn't get a chance to read through all this yet, so sorry if it's been mentioned, but what led up to all of this?
  4. Got my new shackles assembled with the new poly bushings, ready to go. Put the truck on ramps and it starts raining. -.- Thanks Georgia. Shitty weather kills it again.

flatcat, I used to live up that way as a kid, and I miss it. I just hate our inconsistent weather.

Why not Jacob? I didn't find any negative reviews. I don't plan on keeping this rear suspsneion long, I talked to a fab friend that's offered to help me set up a 4 link bagged setup, or rear coilovers. Lots of cool stuff that this man can do.

too stiff for leafs. Mainly in the tilting of the leaf packs as you corner (body roll). The poly will limit the body roll, but at an expense to the mounts on the car. Also, you are now limiting what the car is expecting to do be able to do, in a wrong way. Sway bars are fine to limit body roll, stiffer springs are fine, but to essentially make it so the leafs cant move under a car... Look at you leafs sometime when you jack up only one side.

      mmm 4-link.

You can do 4-link your-self monkey. Just figure out ride height and travel. Measure a millions things 3 times. Write it all down. Tack it all together. Drool while looking at it. Make sure it will clear and go !

      :)

  14. Bonvo, they charged me $41 per universal joint! Better last forever for that price :ninja: Redeye, the lip is off of an '85 S10  I trimmed it a few inches on each side and drilled small holes in the bottom of the fenders to slide hardware through.
  15. To check for starter noise, take it out, bump start it and drive it :D
  16. Gonna start scouring the yards for BMW projectors soon, single side draft Weber, maybe a cam, and some other small stuff. Just gotta prioritize.
  17. Measure the size of the thermostat housing and viola, you get a pretty much perfect measurement.
  18. SKIB. STOP. Unless you get a Fairlady... then continue.
  19. What this was your car? You're a dicckkkkkkkkk pleading. I want this.
  20. Well, I'm glad the general consensus is not head gasket, since that would be about the worst thing, although I didn't think it was that. Don't remember if I added any off brand oil on top, but it's possible since I have a lot of leftover oil on the shelf in my garage. I'm gonna go look into the PCV system now
  21. I got around to changing my oil and going through the winterizing steps before the temperature drops, and when I drained my oil, I found a slight amount of foam on the top (the last bit that came out.) I've never noticed this before, and I know the head was rebuilt around 2009, so I'm hoping it's not head gasket that was screwed up somehow.. Obviously some kind of contaminants. Compression check was up about 20 PSI dry from my last check after trying out some different stuff, and I now average about 155 psi dry compression across all 4 cylinders with no more then a 5 PSI variance between cylinders. I re-torqued the head for good measure when getting ready to do my valve adjustment. It's been a little colder then usual lately, so i'm really hoping the general consensus is condensation in the crank case. The truck runs perfect and only has a slight stumble (probably carb jetting) when cold and idles perfect. I have a decent amount of water in the exhaust, but I'm nearly 100% sure that it's all condensation, as it pretty much disappears when warm, and its not anti-freeze. The only reason that i suspect I MAY have a headgasket issue is that I have a consistent cooling system leak ever since I replaced my old radiator cap. I now have drips from the thermostat housing, and an unknown leak from the heater valve/heater core that have both been tested and don't leak anywhere near 20PSI.
