  1. Oh and I even got my GF working on it
  2. Heres the pics I'm building it all on a budget, but I'm not afraid to spend money where I have to. I'd love to build a low boost F/I in the furture, but who knows. I'll be looking for the L head soon I've already de-greased the block, sanded it down, and painted it. I like it
  3. The red/white wire is gonna be your idiot light. If it's disconnected, it wouldn't hurt to hook it back up. Check your fusible link at the battery and make sure the harness at the battery isn't corroded or damaged. Check to see if your alt is getting 12V at the power wire on the back.
  4. It IS the EFI motor with flat top pistons so I guess that's a good thing I'll get oics up in a little bit, so you guys see what I'm working with. Am I gonna have to go the same route for building an L20 out of it as if it was a Z22?
  5. Oics coming shortly. It's in pieces, so what all do you want?
  6. What are the main differences between the two? I just got home with one, identified it as a Z20E, And I'm curious. The timing cover looks like one that Skib identified on another thread as the L20 timing cover.
  7. Yup He's gonna be running about 25PSI on it. Got a Chevy diff in it and still toying with EFI over blow through carb setup. I got a full EFI Z20 in pieces.
  8. Stopped by a local guy next to my AZ to see what he's got goin on and he's got THIS bad boy!! Oh, AND he gave me all this stuff
  9. Fucking sweet! Goin to swap some Datto parts... I'll be coming home with a new thread starter. My dads gonna be PISSED!

  10. Nice Those things are super powerful for the price. I watched a crew at Road Atlanta pull a wrecked Porsche off a guardrail with one exactly like that.
  11. Looks much better one color Rattle canned?
  12. I got 7. Wonder if I can find them all
  13. You can have it! Just come pick it up ;)
  14. Sucks that I couldn't make it. I was planning on going to import alliance and the pre-meet, but my lost tire kept me down. Turnout looked good.

  19. Yup, new lugs and studs and a nice healthy bit of lock-tite. I think it's coincidence that it was that wheel. Theres a nasty wobble in the car at speed. I need to get it figured out.
  20. UPDATE!! With the old alternator on the car, I test drove it today when I had it back together, and I noticed the alternator wasn't charging at idle, and like before, would charge at about 13 volts while driving. I popped the hood and saw that the wire that runs from the fusible link was melted and when i felt it, it was burning. I unhooked the alternator signal to disable the wire and took it straight home, running on what I assumed was just the battery. I got half way down the road, looked at my gauges and the alternator was charing at about 13.5 volts, and was sustaining 13 volts at idle. The T signal wire was unhooked, so how the hell is it possible that the alternator was still charging??? I confirmed with a voltmeter.
