  1. You got some good ideas Charlie! Now you can have a bonfire and slag off. lol Just need some beers, motivation, and you have a T top 620.
  2. nope, doesn't have to be so post it up! Keep em coming guys. The more she has, the better potential her project has of turning out awesome. She has to do a project comparing Japanese and American economy and some other stuff, hence the Datsuns.
  3. Sadly I don't. More like mine kinda doesn't work. I know you can rent one from Home Depot reasonably cheap. Sucks that it happened. Guess the floor pans are the least of your worries now lol
  4. Holy crap charlie!! That sucks!! You're right on though, time for a roadster! Either that or get a cab and swap it. Let me know if you need a hand with those trees. I'm off work tomorrow and may be able to find time to help out.
  5. Glad to hear he's doing better!! I can kind of relate, after watching my grandpa recover from a stroke several years ago. He couldn't walk, talk, or even use the bathroom without assistance. Only 2 years later and he now has been legally cleared to drive and has re-earned his drivers license, and has even looked at motorcycles. I wish for the best!
  6. Fuck HOA. I had code enforcement over at my house within the first week I owned my car citing it as unruly and illegal (had no plate yet, even though the law states you have 30 days) also tried to say we were running an automotive repair business out of our house. Stupid bastard Anyways, neighborhood wars like that aren't really common I've noticed. All you need is a reason and everyone will start fighting.
  7. keep em coming guys! What ever happened to that beauty pics thread?
  8. Read First: Rules for posting in the For Sale section Seller 1/ The item for sale MUST have a price on it. Auction style postings will not be tolerated. 2/ There must be a location where the item is being sold. Doesn't have to be exact. What are you wanting for these?
  9. Oh common, you wouldn't think it was funny if you ever ate my moms chili. That stuffs diabolical. I'm talking nuclear bowel attacks. Godzilla and all the trimmings.
  10. Alright, I isolated all vacuum by capping all vacuum on the engine, set timing to 5 degrees, replaced all rubber hoses (only one is a brake booster line, go figure) and ran a compression test. Compression is averaging at 135 across all cylinders (varied about 4-5 PSI at the most), and the plugs were a nice golden brown. Still idles rough around 800 (if at all) and struggles to idle smooth around 900-1000. I also noticed a slight misfire at idle occasionally too, so I need to dig a little more into this.
  11. Every once in a while my mom makes chili. Megasquirt ftw
  12. Happy Birthday dimebag darrell!

      Is he not dead anymore??

  13. Pictures would help determine value if you can get us those. Also, the motor won't be hard to find. You can even get the L28ET from the turbo ZX and have a little fun with it 5speed or auto?
  14. I think we can get on it if an Admin set it up. I love tapatalk I also use X-construction, Lookout, Advance Task Killer, etc.
  15. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130496124125&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123#ht_500wt_1182 Price changed. I sent him a messaged about it and I guess he checked prices around.
  16. Unless you plan on doing ball joints, no need for the fork. And yes, it will fall out of the way. Easier then it looks! Just takes time ;)
  17. bump. Not as cool as I expected. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3SYNr6_IMO8
  18. Congrats! Glad to see her happy like that. Makes me want a dog even more :( Animals love me. I'm usually the one to chase a stray up the street trying to find their home, and it always breaks my heart if I can't. Glad people around here have dog collars.
  19. Yup, it's called a crank trigger ignition. You can use some kind of hall effect device in conjunction with an MSD box and have a programmable timing curve. Clown shoes ftw.
  20. But heating them un-evenly results in a different spring rate on each side right? I hear it's VERY difficult to get them properly lowered by heating. Y Cutting seems like the only way to do it right. Ira210, It's pretty easy. What I did was: 1. Unhooked the front brake line's from where they come through the body. 2. Remove the two bolts that hold the strut to the steering arm ( I guess is what it's called?) You'll know what I mean when you see it... 3. Pry the LCA down to separate the strut from the ball joint. 4. Unbolt the top of the strut at the top (3 bolts) 5. Pull the strut/brakes down and out of the car Easy and they're out! 1. Next step is to go to Autozone and pick up a strut spring compressor for $20 in the rental tools at the counter 2. Then set the spring compressor on the coils and wrench down until the coil is loose from the top hat. If not the spring is still under tension and will go flying off as you unbolt the top nut inside the rubber insulator. Be careful! After that, cut as you desire. I did 1 1/2 coils and I wasn't satisfied, so I went back and did another 1/2 and now it's perfect for me. Don't go any lower on cut springs. Install by the reverse way you took them off. I'll try and find some pics
  21. Still idles like shit now, even after cleaning the carbie and re-adjusting idle mixture. Any more ideas?
  22. I'd love to have ZX struts on my car, just for the bigger brakes/vented rotors.
