I love me some 2JZ! But still. RB > 2JZ. Even the SOHC RB30.

Also tossed some air shocks on the back. Tucked the air lines nicely across the frame and the shrader valve is on the frame behind the tail light. Gonna use blocks 1'' lower in the back and use air shocks for added stiffness with a lower height. So far, so good! The suspension is tight and comfy. Pinto shocks going on the front tomorrow.

yup! Yellow may be the key, but there's just sooooo many colors... Tractor Supply carries this Enamel tractor paint (which I think is what's on mine) for cheap! http://www.tractorsupply.com/majic-reg-town-country-tractor-truck-implement-1-gal-new-j-d-yellow-1030928 With black accents, I think it would look great. Plus, i'm shaving/painting the engine bay gloss black so that would be pretty cool too.

OD green was an option, but since Chad Copelands truck is OD green that kills it for me. I want to do yellow, but part of me wants a change. Like GM Performance White maybe...

I'm gonna call the park in the morning or sometime in the next day or so and make sure they're okay with it. However, it may be difficult. I've had two people inform me that the park doesn't like large gatherings by groups, especially car clubs/shows. The venue may have to change if that's the case. I don't expect us to be too big though..

L28ET > RB20DET True story. A LOT easier, more period correct, and Keeps it Datsun for less. Doesn't take much $$ to make an L28ET make as much power as a stock RB20

A friend of mine has got me contemplating a KA swap in my truck that we can do after we finish up with an RB swap in his 240. I have the option of getting a worn out KA-E for next to nothing that I can rebuild, or I can spend up a little and get the KA-DE. The real question is, would it really be worth going with the KA-DE over the KA-E? To those that have done it, are there any important issues that have come up during a swap that would be easier handled ahead of time? This is my DD so I want to get it knocked out ASAP. This won't be for a few months, but if I'm gonna do it I want to start pulling together parts soon so I can get my planning done.

You can use Pennzoil Synchromesh for GM transmissions. $7 per quart and says yellow metal safe right on the bottle. Of course, it doesn't specify weight and it just seems really thin to me. I'll probably swap up with some AMS Oil or Royal Purple/Redline.
