  1. Someone still makes a cowl induction hood for the 620, I saw it lately, just don't remember where.
  2. Bob, Sorry I didn't make it, my Jeep broke on the way back from Ft. Collins Friday. Too hot to work on it yesterday, I did sand on the 620 last night after it cooled down. Thanks for the great pictures of what I missed. Hopefully next time I will have better luck, and will be there to take my own pics.
  3. I need the compressor bracket, if you are interested in selling it separately?
  4. Sorry, I misunderstood, I thought it was presold. When you get it finished, it's going to be hard to part with, that is going to be one sweet ride. If I didn't have so much work in mine already I would be tempted. I have one side of the bed finished, except for final sanding, which I will not do until I'm ready to paint it. As soon as I can I'll get it outside in the sun and take some pics so you can see how it turned out. I have only one stock latch on the tailgate right now while I'm looking for the rest of the parts to put 720 latches on it with the handle flipped to the inside, I did bear claws on my 76, and it was a lot of work, I think the 720 latches will be easier. I can't wait to see how this one turns out when you finish it. PS when you get the ECU mounted, you need to change your avitar to the KA mounted in the engine compartment!
  5. What happened, did the sale fall through? Are you going to keep it now? My mounts will be here this week, and I will send them on to you to be modded asap.
  6. Bob, I should be able to make it, but will not know for sure till I see the Doc the first week of July. Thanks again, Jim.
  7. Thanks Larry, It's finally starting to look like I want. A little more sanding and it will be ready for primer. I'm also working the dents out at the same time. Did you forget about the Jeep shirt I wanted? Later, Jim.
  8. I have a friend with an Evo that makes 600hp to the wheels, it's all how much you want to spend.
  9. And I thought I had a lot of work to do on my Fairlane, not as much as you though! Watch Ebay for that trim piece you need, I saw them once in a while when I was looking for parts for mine. Mine has the original 289, factory air, power steering, and power brakes right now. When I catch up with other projects, I have a 5.0 and AOD sitting in the shop for mine, also I have a 351 to build a stroker in the future. Good luck with the build, I love 64s!
  10. Here are some update photos of what I've been doing in the last week, mostly working on the bedrails. For you guys that are against dehooking, I am putting aircraft tie downs that are removable inside the bed. That is the way I did my 76 and they work much better than the hooks as there are a lot more location options, and when not using them, there is only a small button in the locations.
  11. Motavated, Here are the photos I just took. Remember the axle brackets need to be as close to the springs as possible and spaced evenly. I hope this helps, if you need anymore help pm me and I will give you my number.
  12. Keep going guys, I've had the interior out of my truck long enough!
  13. Bob, was that show in Castle Rock? I was supposed to go meet a friend that lives there for that show, and spaced it out. He has a scary fast Z06, and like me he love all cool cars, no matter who built them. I'm still looking forward to meeting you in person, and seeing all your awsome toys. Later, Jim
  14. Bob HELLO? Silver wheels = silver letters, just my opinion.
  15. Thanks for the pics, brought back lots of good memories, especially the blond with the long "hippie hair"! My ex had hair like that when we met.
  16. When I lived in Albuquerque, my next door neighbor had a 72 with a slide in. He got tired of his buddies running off and leaving him when they hit a hill on fishing trips. Then he got one of those sbc install kits that were available back in the day and dropped in a 283 Chevy with a turbo 350 auto, and his fishing buddies couldn't keep up with him on the hills. Amazing what doubling the power does!
  17. I wish the search worked better then, if there is a thread it didn't find it. If anyone knows about this thread, please reply.
  18. Thanks Steve, Jason emailed the instructions to me last night, so I'm all set. I haven't seen anything posted about your KC in a long time, what's going on with it?
  19. So much for the "Car Show", ended up being a "Rain Show". The Seattle boys sent us there weather for the whole weekend.
  20. It's been my lucky week, I guess, my Addco sway bars came on Friday, I got them installed, and I can't wait for the first drive, the front is the same size as the one I bought for my 57 Chevy 1 inch! That should give me some really flat cornering. Also my brackets for the rear disc conversion came from Bee, but he didn't include the list of components I need to go with them, so I can't buy anything to complete my parts collection before I start taking the old drums off. If all goes right this should be a fun truck to drive, and I might even go to one of Bob's autocross events and give it a shot. I haven't autocrossed since the 70s, I'll have to learn all over again.

  22. Has anyone done a power steering conversion on a 620? I tried a search and came up empty.
  23. Steve, Is the Z trans you used the same length as a 620 trans? Does anyone know if there is a difference in the ratios?
