  1. Any of you guys that think it's too far are wimps! When I bought my KC, it had a bad carb (wouldn't idle & stumbled bad) and a leaky radiator. I nursed it from Phoenix to about 100 miles north of PPIR in 16 hours. people drive their $50,000 street rods and muscle cars from all over the US to go to weekend car shows. Just go to a NSRA of Good Guys event, and look at the plates from all over the US and Canada. A friend and I are planing to go to the back to the 50s show in Minneapolis this summer. They were built to drive, now drive 'em!
  2. I will pay $5 to $10 plus actual shipping for broken 620 dash inserts (Bezels) without gauges. please send photo of what you have, and I will be in touch. Thanks!
  3. Here are a couple of photos of the dash part I need. They are a little blury because I have a hard time holding the camera steady between my week muscles and the pain meds, sorry but that is the best I can do right know. My back gets a little better each day, but it's baby steps, still a long way to go, before I can do all the work I need to on my KC.
  4. I had rectangular head lights on my 79 that I bought new. No one was making kits at the time, so I got Chevy Monza buckets and bezels from the junk yard, then trimed the stock grill to fit and pained it Krylon satin black. it came out great. Unforunately I don't have any pics of the front of that truck after the mod was done, but it looked good enough that most people thought it was factory.
  5. I'm back from the hospital, and finally able to do a little light work on my KC. I'm on a 10lb restriction so there isn't a lot I can do. These are the Mazda 6 Coupe seats I installed just before I went to the hospital This is what the dash looked like when I received it. Sorry this is blurry, but the meds I'm on make it hard to hold the camera steady. This is the piece I'm missing to complete the dash, if anyone has a broken dash insert that still has this part, I would like to buy it so my dash will be complete. This is what my Dash restoration looks now, just need that tab that goes over the heater control and it will look fairly good. Later B)
  6. Great engineering as usual Jason, If you do a weld on kit, I'm interested, but instead of coilovers, I would want to go with air bags and shocks. I'm just starting to be able to get around after my surgery, so as soon as I can lift more than 10lbs I will be sending you the money for the rear disk mounts. I hope you keep this one, It looks like it will be a real sweet ride when you are done.
  7. That is called a grill guard, not a bumper, if you list it under the correct name, you might get better results.
  8. What do you mean 20+MPG? My 76 gets 30mpg after I rejetted the Weber! I just wish I had it ready to sell, so I could help out. It will be a while since I can't do squat til I recover from my back surgery.:P
  9. Please! Come on, No one has any of these parts that they don't need???? :poke:
  10. Bob, Just found this thread, you are a lucky guy, if I would have found that KC, it would have been in my shop instead of yours! LOL! Now that the weather is getting better, we need to get that M&G going. As soon as the doctor OKs me to drive again I'd like to at least drive down to meet you and take a look at your toys. I've been home from the hospital for a week as of today, and I'm working on my KC doing little things as I can, I can't pickup more than 10lbs, can't bend over, or twist, so I'm not getting much done, but I'm finding enough to keep busy. Did you ever find out what the electrical problem was? I have a gremlin on mine now, Ignition switch works, but no power is making it to the relay, without bending or twisting it's hard to look for the cause. I agree with the other guy, you should keep it in the family this time, either S15 or maybe 350Z? If you don't like any of the Nissan suspension options, at least use Nissan power. Later,
  11. I think it will, I use Royal Purple in every thing and I don't abuse any thing I drive, so unless I have a senior moment when one of the local honduh boys is needing put in his place and power shift to 2nd, it will hold up fine. I learned a long time ago how much it costs to fix the damage driving like you stoll it, I have never had to replace any clutches or other drive train parts, but still have a lot of fun. By the way, that whole series of articles is available online, I found it through a link on the KA forum.
  12. I've got one, but I'm hoping to put them in my KC eventually, if I ever have the time and money. Did you see the final article from the mega buck KA build from Turbo magazine? They were shooting for 750hp at the wheels, but ended up with around 800. Man it's nice to have money, I just hope to have 300 to 350 when I have mine done.
  13. That looks just like the after market system that came in my 620, so I would imagine that it will also fit 620s also. Mine worked great, but unfortunetly I had to pull the compressor off to install the air pump so it would pass smog. I'm hoping to find a factory style compressor mount, so I can mount mine on the other side so I will not have to switcheroo next time I need to pass smog. We used to be able to go to a collector plate when a vehicle was 25 years old. I found out they changed the law to 1975 or older last September, so Now I have to have the air pump on even though it had better numbers with out the pump. That is stupid in my opinion, but you can't win against BIG BROTHER, unless you have BIG MONEY. Oh well what are you going to do?
  14. I'm getting close, but no cigar yet, here is the list of 620 parts I still need. 1. I need the plastic dash insert, without the gauges, will even take a broken one. 2. I need both front fenders, with no rust. 3. I need a L20B timing cover. 4. A factory Tach. 5. Air conditioner compressor mount and idler pulley assembly. Thanks for any help.
  15. I'm still waiting to hear from you about the dash insert? I don't need the gauges, just the plastic insert, If it is broken, I will still take it. Broken can be repaired, but my truck has nothing but a big hole, so please help if you can. I also need 2 front fenders that are not full of rust, and yes I know shipping isn't cheap for them, but I need to get my other truck ready to sell so I'll have money for paint and body work on my KC. Thanks!
  16. Hi Tom, Just got feeling good enough to sit at the computer for more than 5 minutes. I ended up spending 15 days in the hospital instead of the estimated 3 to 5, long story, so I will not bore you. How are things going with the orders? I am at a point where not having all my glass seals is holding me up, so I kind of need an estimate on when they will be available, so I can plan what order I will be doing things. Also do you have the pieces of that dash insert that you broke while pulling it. The one that FedEx broke I was able to JB Weld back together, but I'm missing 1 small part. Since it has come out looking pretty good so far, if I can find a broken insert that has the part that I need I will be able to get my truck on the road, instead of spending more months trying to find one that is still in 1 piece. I saw in one of your posts you mentioned a guy that does overlays, can you tell me more? Too bad you don't have a body shop up here, after the storm we had last week, and the resulting carnage, the shops are running out of storage space for all the cars and trucks waiting to be fixed. Hope the dead beats are stepping up and paying for their seals, so all of us that have King Cab prodjects can move on. Later Bud!
  17. Mine is a L20B with the cast bracket. With the lower hose off it hits the outlet before you get to even the end of the adjustment slot, so something has to be changed for it to fit.:(
  18. Has anyone installed a 60 amp 280ZX alternator in a 620? I need to know how to get the water outlet, and lower radiator hose to clear. I hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks guys for any help, tried a search and had no luck.
  19. Any of you guys thought about a LS1 or LS2, all aluminum plus serious power!!
  20. Love your 620, even though I'm not into frame dragging low, especially the color. LOL! What are those wheels, and size?

  21. I just found out that Ted (Tdaaj) is having serious medical problems, that is the reason some of us haven't gotten the parts we purchased from him yet. His wife, Bonnie (Blackdatto) sent a note explaining the situation, but no details, with one of the parts I've been waiting for. There were no details, but if any of you live close, maybe you could check on them, and see if they need any help. Hopefully he will be better soon, and back enjoying the Ratsun Life.:poke::thumbup:
