  1. Yea, good luck finding a switch, some dillweed cut the fiber optic on mine, and I have had no luck finding a replacement. At least the wipers work, just don't have the light like my light switch. :crying:
  2. Thanks Jason, What's new with you? B) :)
  3. I had a set back and made some progress since my last post. Took my KC to get the smog test, tailpipe emissions were well below limits, but failed because no air pump. Went on a boneyard crawl, and found a KC that was mostly intact. I scored the whole air pump system except one hose was shot. also got sear rails I need, air conditioning vents and ducts, the rear section of the console, and the elusive passenger door I have been looking for. Now if I can find a dash face and that air pump hose, I'll be in great shape, and on the way to at least have a drveable truck while I work on the rest of it.
  4. I was going to use a piece of aluminum and aftermarket gauges, until I added up the cost of all the gauges, Yikes! That would have been almost as much as I paid for my truck, so I decided to go the cheaper but a little more difficult route for now, After I get all the bodywork, interior, drivetrain, and paint done, then I will think about some of the more expensive custom mods.*:)*
  5. Why in the hell would a new kit from Redline be junk? You do know that they are the only Weber importer in the US?*
  6. I still will take whatever radio delete plate you Have, please reply!!!:confused::cool:
  7. I can buy a new one from Redline for that, and one in the same condition ( 200 mi on it) with adaptor just went on ebay for $68, unfotunatly I spaced it out and didn't get online in time to bid.:(:(:(
  8. I'm going to check at the dealer tomorrow and see if they are still available. I wish the Detriot lockers were still available from the dealer. I would buy one in a heartbeat!:D:D:D
  9. I would like to see more photos of the 4 link and the front suspension. What length are the links? I want to do air ride on mine, but just a c notch in the rear, as I don't need to lay frame, just want a low ride hight. Us old geezers are still a little bit old school, like the modern air ride tech, but don't need the frame draging on the ground.:lol::cool:
  10. What happened? I never saw the group buy posted, and I need a set for my 79 KC project. Please let us know the situation. Personally I don't want any padding, as I am using a sound deadener and insulation already. If the carpet had the jute pad glued to it, it would make it too thick causing fitment issues.:)
  11. I like the amber turn lenses because on a lowered 620 they are so low that people tend to not see them. The Amber with real bright LED bulbs seem to get peoples attention better, plus you don't see many, and I like being different, as if being a grey beard driving a mini truck isn't different enough!:lol::lol::cool:
  12. I still need a weber DGV, and an early non smog intake. any help much appreciated.:D;) Just found out my DatDoug broke my dash face getting it ready to ship, so now I need the face real bad. Don't need gauges, just the face panel.:(:(:(
  13. Yesterday I said to hell with it, and took the weber off my 76 and put it on the 79, I'll just have to find a used weber conversion for the 76, so I can sell it. The KC runs great now, so hopefully next week I can get it smoged and plates on it. I also got my new tail lights with JDM lenses and installed them, now all lights are working and about 1/3 of them are converted to LEDs. Now the only parts that I need that are high on the priority list is the weber kit, and a radio delete plate. I almost forgot, I scored a set of hooker headers, new in the original box, so the exhaust will get up dated soon.
  14. Merry Christmas to all my Ratsun friends, and a big THANK YOU for all your help.:):):)
  15. I found some 1/2 in. hose that didn't kink when bent around to the valve at the back if the intake, and fired it up with the freshly kitted Hitachi. My luck with Hitachi carbs hasn't changed, it still runs like crap. Time to step up to a webber, I wish it wasn't Christmas so I had some money to spare. Maybe there is a Hitachi expert here in CO that can help me? I'm dreaming again:lol::lol: I guess I'll just have to wait till after the hollidays, and start over.:(:P
  16. Would you concider selling the pre smog manifold seperate? I would be very interested.:)
  17. Did you forget about me? When are you shipping my parts?
  18. Yea I have one on my 76, thinkin' of putting it on my KC
  19. If anyone is interested, there is a real nice 72 521 on Ebay right now, check it out! Has a lot of custom work done and pained the red that the roadsters came in.*;)*
  20. I wish I would have known about the white one too, I hate body work, but at least I don't have to fix rust, and the drive train is in great shape, the only thing it needed was the carb rebuilt. Once I get it smoged, and the collector plates, I can toss all that junk and put a webber on it til I'm ready to put the KADE in it. I paid $750 for it. The last one that was for sale around here that wasn't a rust bucket, but had no brakes, and had been sitting not running for a couple of years went for $1500, so I didn't think I would be able to do much better on my budget.
  21. It's the one that goes from a pipe on the side of the intake to the round valve that mounts at the rear of the intake. I can take a pic tomorrow if you don't kow what I mean. Thanks, Jim
  22. I could use the right head light trim rings and the rear license bracket. Let me know asap. I wish I had grabbed those hub caps, just found out the stock 14s don't clear the calipers on my 76. have you shipped my other stuff yet? Later, Jim
