I understand the leading up to the fire, but what caused the gas to ignite? hot weather? Exhaust? Im confused?? .... Im glad your ok and your truck is mostly ok.... the flames hopefully charred away some of that old datsun undercarriage grease.. :)

NOPE! Haha because its not hinged... drivers side bolts are removed and passenger side bolts are nearly all the way loose... then im going to mount my air ram and run it off shrader valves and an air tank... "CHEAP TILT" :P I just dont have any fabrication skills to do hinges :blush: edit: Now you know my secret! :angel: lol

Meanwhile in the midst of all this I got arrested and did nearly a month in jail, my 620 lived in wide14u's car port during that time ... I got lucky and the law went lenient on me and it just mostly got dropped and I moved to washington... drove Lola out here... she is currently my daily driver too and from school but that should change next month... Now (present day) ..... I worked on this.... will be finished and functioning off an air ram next month some time, right now its just manual.. .

Then some wheels came up on craigslist.... then some wheels went on the truck.. then I took a sawzall and.....

I'm a lame ass and this truck got cannibalized for parts for a 521, then sold it, then im pretty sure it got scrapped, then I sold the 521, and with that money I got another 620 from a junk yard, then I sold it to the same person that got my last 620. then he traded that one for a 710 wagon, then I was out of the datsun game, then I sold my mazda miata for a jaguar, then I sold my jaguar for this datsun..... my truck for reference. I installed 3inch blocks and only running one leaf spring and the tiny overload in back, and I did not need to reindex the front just loosened up the tortion bolts that are pictured above in this thread.

angled blocks are not important untill you get very low. Ive only needed angled blocks after 4inch blocks and mono leafed. They are only used to control pinion angle and make sure your truck dosnt eat through Ujoints.. You do not need agled blocks doing what you are doing.... Also for reindexing... I have only seen the need to reindex after lowering FARTHER than 3inch blocks and mono leafing... So all you should need to do is turn down the front tortion bolts nearly to no thread showing and install your blocks...

need more updates! :).... and You need to make me a hard top like yours... My hard top is ghetto, I used chrome vw baja hood clamps to clamp the top and some lowes home gate latches on bottom but I need to get those outta there and get another set of baja's. Also My roof is pretty sad overall with lots of ripples in the top :( Heres a current pic of my vert... go vert 620's! :) Also planning on a backwards dump soon... :)
