  4. Great meet again guys, it was a good turn out and as usual as some left some came in. There were folks there until at least 10pm. Good to see folks coming down as far as Modesto and Concord. Good to see you make it out Joe with your green machine! Good to see familiar faces and meeting Al, Justino, Jose, Ruben, Eddie, and the rest of you guys and gals. Unfortunately I brought my camera but left my memory card at work...so I'm relying on GusGus and others to post the pics they took tonite. :)

  7. Hey what's up Ben and Clayton. There's a few guys I've talked to about this meet from the Southbay that plan on attending. We should cruise up together to Clay's place then head over to the meet. I'll try to round up more folks and as soon as I know who's all coming we can post what we'll be bringing. This should be a great meet!
  8. Just checked weather.com again and it's still saying cloudy with no rain. Looking good for tomorrow night.

    Seat swaps

I like the seats in my 350Z so I scored an extra set and I mounted them on some stock steel and welded in some bolts so they'd mount in the stock 510 seat brackets so I can interchange the in my two 510's if I wanted to. Anyway here's the pics of them installed in my 510. Seats taken apart to not mess them up with all the welding going on My buddy at work (notice the rear of his baja race truck in his garage): Seats installed (I need to cut some of the seat plastic trim to make them look cleaner and hide the mechanical parts)
  12. Not for the hardcore! :P , just kidding if it's raining I would assume not many would drive to it let alone hang out. I'll update the ads to say plan on meeting unless it rains. Can't wait for this rain to be over and the time to change so we can have them at 7pm again, giving more people more time to come on down and having more light to take pics. Weather.com says it's supposed to be cloudy on Thursday but no rain forcasted. Keep your fingers crossed for no rain.
  13. Man that's a clean looking goon and I love that color on it. Subtle and clean. Looks like a great time had by all. Good job on holding the meet James (and crowd). Any idea when the swap meet in Gino's neighborhood will be, I forget what time of the year it rolls around in?
  14. It's that time again, so get in your rides and get on down here after work, there's plenty of guys that come throughout the evening. Come check out everyone's rides. There's plenty of light in the parking lot and plenty of hot coffee and/or hot chocolate at Starbucks so get in your dime and come on out for what's turned out to be a good meet! WHAT:Nor Cal South Bay Old School Import Meet WHERE:3605 El Camino Real, Santa Clara CA (Starbuck's parking lot) WHEN:Thursday 02/25 at 6pm until whenever
  15. I have a front grille and the light bezels. I'll get a pic to you soon.
  16. Hey rustrocket, not trying to hijack your for sale thread but I have some more more views of this car that the PO from AZ sent along aswell as some of his comments on the car itself. Looks to be pretty clean, too bad you don't have the motivation to clean up, looks like you can do it as you go along as long as it's a running ride. Good luck with the sale! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ PO said: "I do not have the side arrow marker, hood trim, grill trim, or wipers. I do have the door handle and lock as well as all the window rubbers and trim pieces. The headliner is brand new and was done at the same time as the rest of the interior. Mechanically the car is reliable. It always starts right up with no smoke and runs like a top. The syncros on the trans are showing some wear. If you shift slowly it does not grind. The car can be driven as is but if I was going to make it a full time daily driver I would probably put a couple syncros in it."
  17. Yeah that one that 69wagon showed are for 1968 as they're like the ones I have on my 1968 510 wagon On my spare set of lenses (1969-1973) you can see the three distinct circled areas that aren't on the 68's: on those ebay ones that don't have the metal piese that acts as a light blocker to prevent the whole assembly lighting up, you can get around that buy buying LED replacement bulbs. When they light up you can clearly see the distinction between both. Looks kind of cool actuallly. Thatsoon510 (Hector) did that on his and it looks good. I'll try to see if I can find or take a pic of his to show you.
  18. Ok Sean now rebuild your KA and sell it to me! :P, man glad you got that thing in there. If you were closer I'd definately give you a hand man.
  19. I take it from this site that the rears are for stock 510 struts but the fronts are for both 510 and ZX struts right? 20. When I bought my 510 the previous owner had it painted at Maaco. I still have the reciept, $1600 for what they called 'two tone'. Basically any shiny metal was painted gloss black, and the car was painted silver. Well when I bought it it already had lost its shine and only got worse from there. By the time I was ready to repaint it, everyone thought it was primered grey. Then on the other hand my buddy had a 1981 Starlet that he got painted at the Duke of Earl (Earl Shieb for you youngen's) and he was meticoulous about washing/waxing his car all the time. He had it for over 2 years and it looked as shiny as the day it was sprayed. So your paint care goes a long way. I agree, every place is going to be different. You should go to your local Maaco and Earl Schieb and see thier work. I went to the local Maaco just to see and the guy was showing me cars recently done with runs, overspray, etc so there was no way I was about to shell out bucks to them. So instead I suckered Pac Coast to paint it for me :P j/k!
  21. I ordered 3 sets and didn't have any issues...but I think I called them, I can't remember.
  22. Get it and make it look like this!
