  1. Right on Skib, man can't wait for this to get done. Looking very cool!
  2. Picture bump for a nice looking ride. I didn't get to see the owner but I did admire the car. I love that color...same as my goon. GLWS.
  3. Oh yeah forgot to mention that, yeah I went with 2" lowering blocks, no axle slap as of yet but I don't usually carry much in it so not much added weight in the rear of the thing. I got the lowering block kit at pep-boys so it came complete with the longer u-bolts and all the hardware. I think it was about $30 out the door.
  4. You just have to have the pictures hosted on some other site like photobucket or anything similiar then to post them on here you just have to get the pictures URL (you can get this by right clicking the picture and clicking properties and the URL will show up (hope this helps): then you just have to [ IMG ] yourURLlinkHERE [ /IMG ] with no spaces between anything.
  5. Right on, you did a great job on letting the word out and that's the key. The folks I talked to all agree another one is wanted at some point especially now that the weather is warming up.
  6. JDM510: I got a killer deal on a spare set of complete assemblies from a stock 510 that were already shortened and I had a set of lowering springs that I put on them, then swapped out the whole strut assemblies all together. I used a set of 1" aluminum bump steer spacers as well. Pac Coast: Thanks amigo, I know if you were around this thing would have been dropped a LONG time ago. Oh I forgot to mention I picked up that older aftermarket roof rack. I dig it, it's almost completely full length, just a bit more fiddling with the flat hooks to get it to hold by itself and I'll be good. I was going to strip it completely and paint it but since the goon isn't perfect it kind of fits the overall look to have it a bit dinged/scratched up and not like new.
  7. Hey Allen it was nice to meet you, your wife, and your sister and thank you guys for the chicken, I think you gave us half of what you brought! haha :P I had some last night after getting home, since I only had about 2 tacos while I was there. Thank your wife and sister for helping us finish cooking the last of our carne asada after our grill ran out of propane. Next time (I'm sure they'll be another after this sucessful gathering) I'll bring the steak and you can bring more of that chicken. :)
  8. Yep that was me. :) Yeah Mark, I took that pic for you...boy those have some SERIOUS lip on them. Wow!
  9. Wow, it's been over 3 months since my last update...too long. Well it's been a while but let's just say that I was tired of looking at my goon look like an all wheel drive ride. So after asking around for a hand lowering it, it was my non ratsun buddy Daniel who came through big time. I finished swapping the lowering springs on the spare set of front struts and then swapping them out with the 'too high' struts when he came over and helped me install the rear lowring blocks. Here's what it looked like (way too high) This is what it looked like right after, way slammed and cool BUT...the rear wheel well literally sat on the tire. So...I decided to go with the 13" minilites I had... Then the next day I decided to try the 16x7 wheels from my 2 door that have a lower profile tire, and man it fit the rear perfect But the fronts were still another story. They stuck out a bit too much and with barely enough cleance to slip a finger (:P) between the tire and the fender it rubbed pretty often on a short drive. So in the end I figured to sell them and go a different route anyway.
  10. Rows and rows of old school cars, there was a second row behind these.
  11. What a meet! A huge amount of cars showed up, the Ratsun crowd was very well represented as well as the Toyota crowd. Great weather, not totally clear skies but very warm indeed. I took my camera but forgot to charge my batteries so I only managed to take pics of most if not all the Datsuns, and some of the what I thought were cool Toyota rides. I'll post them as soon as I get some rest. I busted ass getting ready for this meet all day Friday. I had to clean up my grill and coolers. After a while we were getting hungry so I busted out my propane bbq grill and cooked about 3-4 dozen hot dogs guys brought out (with no ketchup!!??..haha), then busted out the marinated carne asada and chicken/pork brought by others along with key condiments like cilantro, onion, mexican fresh cheese, limes, and fresh homemade (hot) salsa. All of a sudden riathe back of my wagon became a taqueria. There was so much food that we didn't even get to the other 2 meats I took with me. Man those tacos were pretty damn good if I do say so myself. Guys brought brownies, chips, and added thier drinks to the other cooler full of drinks I brought. It sure helps to have a goon for all this. Ok screw the resting, here's the the pics. First we had a little caravan of about 13 or so on the way over there. Then lots of cool rides.
  12. Damn Ben you should have called me if you were needing a hand to help you get it up and running. Hope you can pull it off amigo...would be nice to see your dime there.
  13. Wouldn't they rub on your fenders? Unless you go with a lower profile/stretched tire, it may fit but I'm not 100% sure.
  14. Yeah I sent your sticker out the same day. You should get it soon since your in CA. :)
  15. My bad Ben. I totally forgot you were in Campbell. Anyway for the rest of us South Bay guys, meet at the In-N-Out parking between 9:00 AM - 9:15 AM so we can roll out too Fremont, then on to Pleasanton. Here's the address of the McCarthy Ranch In-N-Out: 50 Ranch Dr Milpitas, CA 95035
  16. Hey Greg, yeah but aren't those 13's? I could have sworn they were.
  17. Will consider trades for a nice set of 14" wheels/tires or 14" wheels/no tires + cash. Panasports prefered or something cool as long as they're 4x114.3 bolt pattern
  18. Skib, your carpet was shipped out today with FedEx. I'll PM you the tracking number later.
  19. Shipped out 3 orders out today, should be there soon (not sure how fast it gets to Canada Enrique). Thanks guys.
  20. Ok here's the backspacing. Looks like it's a bit more than 4" but it's because of the angle. 4" backspacing on all four wheels.
  21. Yeah totally...maybe they'll post on here. I don't have a problem but so far I've had 3 people ask for the 15" ones. We'll see I have a guy from Modesto interested in picking them off on his day off (Friday) so we'll see. Thanks though, appreciate it.
