well I called about both seals and they are NLA in the US, but in other countries they are available. wtf?. I have one of them on the way, and the other I am waiting on shipping quote.

So I call around for parts for my 910, or for any Datsun for that matter to the dealership, and I pretty much get "No Longer Available" and shooed away and told to go pound sand cause theres nothing they can do for me as far as Nissan is concerned. But that actually seems not to be entirely the case. recently I asked DAWA to find me a few parts for the 910, and he forwarded me to a website called Amayama trading company. well it seems that at least for my car, this site has a whole lot of NOS or just plain New parts on hand, so far I was able to find my rear window weatherstripping and sunroof weatherstripping. and its eash, all I did was type the part numbers into google and typed "europe" next to it. You see, Amayama is some how related to Nissan europe and they find their parts through them, any way, searching that easily found me what I needed in either UAE, or Japan. someone on here said that you used to be able to access a worldwide parts network in the Nissan dealership but that changed when they merged with Renault, so what happened? and are all these parts NOS, or does Nissan still make parts and keep quantities on hand for other countries?

some of this stuff isnt even rice!!!, some of it is just american garbage.

I am incredibly impressed with SEMs products as well for the interior, someone said that their bumper black was pretty awesome as well.

I just called my paint store, they have POR, but $50 duurs!, oh well, good paint is worth it. They put it in a can for cheap for me too, and they have the preps as well.

this is the next subject of concern, I would appreciate your input on it. there are 4 drains, one on each corner. what do you mean use the current tubes as a puller? where do the tubes actually run to? does the tube go all the way down to the bottom of the car?

another ruined RX7?

meh, Mitsubishi trumps Subaru in the performance and technology sector all day as far as I am concerned.. Subaru's engines are kind of old technology, the boxer 4 cylinder isnt really that efficient, their all pretty damn reliable though, well, as long as you dont buy a WRX or WRX STi, those things are always plagued with issues, at least from my experience.

so I should be using POR primer and then POR paint?

I am following this. I love the CA18DET, more than I like the SR20 (though neither are as badass as the fj20) with all the KA24s and SR20s you see I am excited to see a CA. is that a 910 (maxima) I see?

avoid removing it if you can, you have to take the rear window out on alot of these cars.

its electric, the no glass type. I am refering mostly just to the tub that contains the sliding rails and bolts to the roof of the car. the roof panel is removed from the assembly while its still in the car, and I am going to use body paint on it, none of the stuff I am painting in the tub is visible. but its a sunroof, which means it has a drain in each corner and gets water in the top while its raining, my concern is having it all resist water for another 30 years and not get rust again from the rain and moisture basically.

also I supose I should mention it only has a limmited ammount of rust on one side, should I strip it entirely and repaint the whole thing? I am pretty ignorant on most issues regarding painting things.

I am restoring the sunroof right now in my 910 and I want some opinions on what I should use to paint the sunroof. I am planning on using POR-15 as primer, would an epoxy based paint be a good choice? any suggestions appreciated.
