  1. Who cares about being safe in a vintage car.. I throw caution into the wind when I drive and enjoy it. When its my time to bite it I'll bite it.
  2. I don't know I could see some of these fuckheads that scammed people on stocks in the last decade or so needing the same kinda fate.
  3. Yeah only thing I'm not too pleased on it running wheel adapters on them, but should be fine as 13" wheels will fit. Gonna spray some of this on the car after beating out some dents.
  4. I'm thinking of using my Work equip type 01's on it, 13"'s but should be pretty cool. As for paint, not sure yet might hit it with some cheap rustoleum paint after getting rid of the dents.
  5. be good to run a wideband o2 on a carbed motor, make tuning easier.
  6. I'd get the foam filters that they make for stacks over just mesh, just my opinion.
  7. Here are the OIC's I promised of the Miata. It is a 1991 Miata, 1.6L engine with 5 speed. A/C works so thats a plus! Things that don't work on the car: Cruise control, Speedometer (cable is snapped most likely), radio, and it needs a window for the top put in. I ended up paying 1700 and not trading my VW for it. I've already got a good DVD player unit I'm going to install in the car, and they had the old window in the car so will tape that bitch up for now.
  8. I got one of the 200 dollar ones off amazon, they are pretty good.
  9. I think either is fine if taken care of really, though some would argue that I'm wrong either way. I like my old cars cause to me they can be just as reliable as the new fuel injected ones if you give it a little love.
  10. Already like doing the major "Hmmm, I have a supercharger already." thought, I had intended it for the roadster but I can always get another. Though I'm not too sure on the wheel adapters debating on stuffing my work equip type 01's on the miata.
  11. Got the car, I'll get OIC's up later. I ended up just outright buying it instead of trading the VW for it. Bout hit a central air unit that flew off a trailer going 75mph in it too, fortunately the thing handles really well! Body is rough, but already thinking widebody.
  12. depending on the shape of the Z, I wouldnt trade a good 210 for a rotted away almost z if the 210 is in good shape less they are throwing some cash in.
  13. I say go for it and also do some BRE stripes with it the orange. I'm going to be doing a sorta ghost BRE stripes on my roadster, I've got some glow flake from http://glowinc.com/ and will be shooting BRE stripes in clear with the flake in it.
  14. Well my plan was to drive it as is for a while, then maybe an LSx swap. lol
  15. I've had enough of my baja bug, its not a bad car just tired of having a car that stands out so much in a crowd. So I've been offered a straight across trade for a 91 1.6L miata, nothing wrong with it besides that it needs paint and a top. I figured with the roadster already might as well add another convertible to the mix. I'll get some OIC's of the miata tomorrow. I remember seeing them new on the car lot when I was little and wanted one, so might as well right?
  16. almost as cool as the 4x4 roadsters. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2611880/1969-datsun-roadster/page-2
  17. The link broke, but I just bought some steel fuel injector bungs and plan on running two large injectors. When I get the cash I'll buy megasquirt and get that all sorted. Cost me 30 bucks for the bungs and with injectors should run about 130 for both carbs.
  18. The Roadster's R series engine isn't the same as the 510's L, the 510's engine is a OHC and the roadster's is push rod. I could go on and on, but 311s.org is the best place for info on the R16.
  19. Man, I wish pick and pulls around this way would do like that one.. Tired of seeing cars setup on their wheels at the near by yards.
  20. Not really helpful to the subject of which is better carb wise but you can use the SU's as throttle bodies on an EFI setup just for anyone considering using an SU but would like EFI.
  21. http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/cto/2168040044.html heres a 720 with a v8, I've been tempted to stuff a v8 in one of the 620's on CL around here.
