  1. Burn it with fire, fix datsun with insurance payout, trim u-bolts, profit
  2. You beer made me run into the street and get hit by a car! Honestly I wouldn't scrap all of them. Take the best one and turn it into an art project. Scrap the rest.
  3. Snap-on tools are nice. Just wish they didn't cost so much...
  4. This idea sounds like a really fun project. I know of a "ratrod" that was built using a 76 620 frame, looks pretty cool as far as a southern rat goes. Here is a link for reference: http://macon.craigslist.org/cto/3854219311.html We would love to see pictures of everything you have gathered. The guys on here are mostly nice and are always helpful. You might also want to take a look at some of the builds on here. There are plenty of customs (521 roadster, custom king cabs, duallys, ect). Oh, and Ratwagon has nice goon build. Its the reason I get up everyday
  5. You messed up mrbig, looks like you get to spend more money fixing it. Honestly though I like the idea of matching the stacks to the cover more than cover to stacks. The truck is already really clean and that bright shiny red just seems like it would be too much. That FJ is super sexy mrbig, and you have sold me on getting a roof rack for my 620
  6. Indy, that was a really good read. Stunning photos and a great story. I look forward to seeing your next big project. Your projects and Bob's currently dominate my desktops at home and at work
  7. So, interesting thing happened. Got stopped for my tag light being out. Me and the officer looked, there isn't anything for a tag light to attach to, nor and broken wires/electrical tape that is out of place. Did 74 620s have tag lights? He asked what year the truck was and let me go, so no porblem, just curious.

The universal goes on like a stock replacement but works better ;)

  8. I ended up taking it to the local radiator shop. The charged me $80 to clean it out (high heat pressure washer) and seal it with some kind of gas tank sealant.
  9. That 4th pedal. I lold :P Looks like a fun project.
  10. Saving for rims, really tempted to buy the A3As on ebay but must save for superlites...

  11. Wow, what a project. Great attention to detail DTP! Looks like a ton of work.
  12. Fat people solution to needing a sub: http://soundstream.com/store/car-audio/subwoofers/stealth-13.html Or you can go with these horrid things :P
  13. How you so low bro? Still needs moar lowar tho... I see space :fu: Great job figuring out your power issue. That had to be annoying esp when you put so much time into this engine. Maybe I'm too fat for std cabs, but how in the world did you fit a box behind the driver's seat? I'm only 6' and had to move my seat back as far as possible. Even removed the mounts so the seat is bolted straight to the floor :P
  14. You are loved  No homo though...

    Newbie!!

Welcome! Always good to have new members. The B210 is unique. Be sure to check out the 210 photo thread (has a lot of B210s as well). Also, you should check out the 1200 foum for info on the A-series engines and some modifications for the B210. Good luck on your search. I'm sure it won't be too difficult. After all, you do live in the Datsun heartland :P 1200 forum: http://datsun1200.com/modules/news/
  16. Wow, and I was qouted $500 for a Z22 short block :P How many miles have you put on the engine since the rebuild? Also, which rings did you use? A few months back the local shop rebuilt my buddies 427 but they used chrome rings. Something went wrong with the bore or hone and the rings just wouldn't seal. He used a re-ring kit with cast iron and everything seems fine now.
  17. I'd replace it with a cheapy if I live out in datsun heaven like most of you guys. Then just rebuild it over time so you have a spare or a engine ready for your next next project :P
  18. Yea, lock washers are on the studs at the top, but the bottom adapter uses hex key bolts and those are the problem. Wish I had bought a tall adapter now.
  19. Nice job. Goota love that purple power stuff :P Wanna come clean the B210?
  20. Happy pappi's day to all you fathers out there!

Thank You much appreciated was looking saying to all myself

  21. lol, gotta love that hitachi :P Eventually I will be using a weber, but for now I just need the car to run. It will inherit my 32/36 from the 620 once the LZ build is complete. I hope that I can revive the hitachi because having decent mpgs would be fun (620 gets 13-14 average) but we shall see.
  22. Great job Mods! Big thank you to datzenmike cause your awesome bro!
  23. Well, driving home this morning everything was fine. Then I got off the interstate... In neutral my truck sounded like it was revving the same as when I'm running 75 in 4th (no tach). Luckily, I knew what was going on and got home with no red-lights... Parked it, pop the hood and grab the carb. Yep, wiggle wiggle. For some reason I keep forgetting to pick up locktight for the adapter... I've had the carb installed since march, it has come loose twice. No pics of the work, just frustration. On a good note, I tore it down and had everything back on tight within 25 minutes. Not bad for having rummage around to find the elusive 10mm wrench :P
