Yep. I've talked to the man a few times. It's a complete engine BUT it's from an auto goon so you will need a 4 bolt flywheel. I have a 4 speed 620 tranny up here for 100$ I can take it to Columbia for 50$ or ship it. Just a thought.

I don't want to read 40 pages... What was the final result? Do the R1 carbs work good on an L20b? Good power? fuel Efficiency? I can get a set of R1 carbs cheap and make the manifold for free.

Head is at the shop! Picking it up tomorrow. Dipped, surfaced, valves and valve seats, and they said to bring my valve guide seals tomorrw and they'll put it all together for me. 100$ Lovely old couple in the basement of the downtown NAPA shop. She looked a the top of the head and called it datsun/nissan in 3 seconds. Said it was because she recognized the clips that hold the rocker springs.
