  1. "Feel" is a moot point. You just haven't found the "right" stopping circumstances yet.Your truck is just waiting to "swap ends" on you with a hard application and the right conditions.
  2. Yes-it's a U-67. O.K.-I'm a wee bit wet on this. My head here is 4.25-I just put calipers on it.The 4.26 is the number from the machine shop for out of the box new.
  3. Mike-I have a head here right now that measures 4.26 something.Unfortunately,it's junk.
  4. Ahhh-he's still alive.104 years old to be exact.
  5. How does the SX TB adapt to the Z manifold?
  6. If properly functioning, the factory stuff is good. But,you must make sure of full voltage and that the reflector(in the housing) is not rusted, allowing maximum light to be dispersed. Not to mention clean & clear lenses. LEDs,while seeming like the fix to all things that are dim-are not.Make sure there is enough variance between running light mode & brake light mode.If they "blend together"or are minimal, the result will be the same as the people behind not seeing your lights.
  7. If you want to change the stick, call Rebello. His will work.
  8. All non-A/C 620's came with two rows. A/C trucks had three.
  9. Jim Beam's New "Devil's Cut" is the cat's ass.
  10. No 4 banger anywhere on this planet sounds like a V-8.As there are 4 less cylinders,it is flat impossible. Can it sound good? Can it sound nasty?Yes.
  11. No 4 banger sounds like a V-8.Especially a 400 CI Pontiac. Anyhoo......Your exhaust as sits actually hurts the performance of the truck.Headers are point-less unless you are living above 5000 RPM all the time.Factory headers(manifolds)exist, not un-like the Ram-Air manifolds for 67-69 Firechickens & 69-72 GP's.They don't leak, they flow well(for most applications) and don't hit the ground. Flow Bastards also have a negative effect on power. But if you like the sound-that's your call. If you do a search on all I've posted here, you'll find plenty of info to read.
  12. Get rid of the header & the flow bastard-they are doing NOTHING for you.How many cylinders was your GTO running on when you made the comparison?
  13. You don't need no stinking shims!Shims change the rocker/cam geometery.Measure the height of the head and get back to us.More than likely, all you need to do is advance the cam gear to the #2 hole.
  14. A 460 is far from a dog. One of the cheapest ways to make HP.Having said that,460 owners usually buy a fuel truck to follow them around.
  15. Most common is where it enters the interior.Look for "hard" bends also.
  16. Full "full" means something in the circuit is grounded.
  17. Odds are about 8 out of ten you're right. The other two are pinched wires where they go thru the bottom of the cab.
