It was going for a few years and just got too big. Then Ratsun decided to stick it to the man and not go to Nissanfest so they held their own Golden Gardens meet on the same day as NF. There is a new club thats picked up Golden Gardens this past year to make it an actual event once more.

L motors will be the only ones that bolt right up. Plenty of other Nissan engines have been swapped into Datsuns though. Youve given us nothing to work with on giving you an answer to your vague question. If your buddy is "big time into Datsuns" then just ask him what engine hes talking about and go get it.

Northwest Nissans (NWN) used to put on an event called Golden Gardens. Event got so large that it didnt fit at the park anymore so they renamed it Nissanfest and moved it to Evergreen Speedway in Monroe.

I added an extra rear lap belt to the front so I can have a third middle passenger on the bench. Worked great for the drive as the girl sat there on the drive home to stay warm since I have no heater.
