  1. Yeah, if you look on mobile its a question mark. Doug!- its time for a new image... Slap that rack on, snap a sweet pic, and crop it into your profile pic.
  2. Not sure what car you drive (it's not visible on mobile), but they make reproduction weather seals. I just replaced my doors last week... Well I only did one of four because it was a huge pain in my dick. There's a couple places that have decent prices and decent quality. I probably won't do anymore doors myself. One door was enough hassle for me that it's worth paying someone.
  3. Wow... thats super blue. I dont know if I like it haha. I do really like the reconditioned aircleaner though. Ive been thinking about redoing mine back to oringal color... I wonder if there are reproduction stickers for the top of the box. Glad to see the engine in and that its running smoothly.
  4. If you look at your profile on the left of all your postings. There is your username, then title, then picture and location. Your pictures just shows up as a red X... thats the internation interwebz sign for broken image link. I didnt know if there was actually a problem, or you uploaded a red X as a joke just to fuck with people that would notice.
  5. As long as it goes on, it will look tits. Good choice Doug. ANd complete side note, but do you actually have a profile picture?- or did you upload the broken image gif and are using that? It confuses me every time I see it because I dont know if there was a problem uploading your picture or youre just trying to pysch us out.
  6. I appreciate you looking Banana. And yes, I do remember the parts explosion that is your garage/shed. So maybe if Im not too cryptic some can chime in with information as well, so here is my full plan: Against the grain, Im sticking with auto. The car came with a column shift and I think thats pretty damn cool. Since auto drivelines always eat up more HP than their manual brethren, I figure I need as much HP at the crank to make up for it. So, Ive decided Im going to go L20b. Unfortunately there was no L20b when the B/W was in production... it was the 3N71B. Now, if I had a 3N (which is floor shift and why Im not swapping to that transmission) I could just change flex plates and spacers and be done with it. I cant do that... So after some technical discussion through PMs, I have decided that the best course of action is to re-drill my current L16 B/W flexplate for the L20b bolt pattern. I would also have to re-drill the spacers on each side, but I feel that if all three pieces were re-drilled, that would be terribly dangerous. So, Im going to drill my flex plate and make new spacers at work. Now as I think about it and look at the L20b spacers posted above, they are different size and now I dont know which I need for my conversion. Can anyone verify that the L16 and the L20 spacers are the same thickness and only the bolt pattern varies? But then again the transmissions Im putting them on are different as well and may require different spacers. Maybe I should just acquire all spacers and just keep swapping until I get a set that work haha.
  7. EDIT: So I now have a set of B/W and a set of JATCO spacers and pressure plates. I have ran into a bit of an issue. I was hoping that they would be the same size and only the bolt pattern was different. Well, Murphy has struck and everything but diameter is different. So... I now need a set of L20 spacers for the JATCO automatic transmission. I need to compare the differences between L16/L20 to apply it to the Borg Warner. If you own the spacers and a set of calipers I would be happy with some dimensions PMd to me. So Im in the middle of a project and I have hit a small wall. Im doing some work various flex plates and now need some measurements or the acutal units themselves. I have a set already, but they are in the car which is a DD. Idealy I would just like to borrow them and return them once Im done since I wont need two sets. If youre handy with a set of calipers I would also gladly accept some measurements to save time and shipping on everyones part. I do not know if the B/W flexplate and spacers are the same on the 3N71B, but I have a B/W so to be safe I would like those components. Here is what I need: L16 Borg Warner flex plate Both flex plate spacers (crank to FP and FP to torque convertor) I will pay for shipping to me, meet up locally, or be willing to send you the dimensions that Im looking for so that you can take them with a set of calipers. If you are unfamiliar with the pieces Im looking for, here some some photos:

    z problems

I hope youre not selling your Z because of the online fiasco a while ago...
  9. Where did you pick up a new speedo cable? Im thinking I need to pick up a new one as well.
  10. It would only kill it if he decides to remove the rack in the future. Otherwise the wagon will still look clean. We will just have to see what he decides to do.
  11. Exactly. Sometimes simple and subtle differences made it 100x's better. Im sure JRock could coat that easily and I've seen his color selection... I bet there's one to match that RB gunmetal.
  12. If that were the case he would have just bought it and posted a FS thread saying he saved it from the crusher. A part of the Douger really wanted it and I think he should do it. Racks are sweet. His wagon is a really clean example so throwing some crazy Thule/Yakima rack on it would kill it. Stock rack FTW.
  13. Personally I like the rack... I would mount it. But I would also think about getting it powder coated to possibly match your rims. I think that would be badass. You obviously like the rack enough to have bought it, so I think you should just do it.
  14. Spotted! Haha finally got to repay a little back his way:
  15. I might be able to do that for you... PM details and we can talk.
  16. Some polished versions of my lock pulls would look tuts with that chrome package :D
  17. Honestly it was simple... Took less than two seconds to find. I can edit my post if you don't want her info out there. I don't know what I was thinking when I posted it; it was a graveyard shift blunder. PM me if you need. And I will say my favorite oics of her so far are with the Datto still!
  18. Here you gentleman go... http://www.modelmayhem.com/713944
  19. Something else as in actual rims or as in different hubcaps? If hubcaps, Im a bullseye fan myself. If rims, theres a billion options haha
  20. I choose the second to last one... What hubcaps are those?- I dont think Ive seen them before.
  21. Thats why Im just leaving it. Ive got some swap plans here in the future so Ill just tough it out until then (I just have to source my engine and a second flex-plate locally first).
  22. Hmmm... I wonder what a pair of moderns would look like in my '73 grille. Eventually I plan on running two headlights. Maybe a quick photoshop is in order.
  23. I should have known it was be in a train... I did find that picture of Jens job in the Seattle basement :sneaky: I think with my plethora of mishaps with the car lately, I may do a good few days of maintance on her to make sure the car will make it down there safely. I wish I could fix my oil pan leak, but I dont have the resources right now to pull the engine to get to the pan. Luckily its a slow leak... Ill probably change the oil, possibly a coolant flush, and make sure Im not going to be rubbing with the extra weight Ill be bringing (chairs, BBQ, parts, etc.)

    Me n' my 720...

Does your system even sound good? Your seats sit directly in front of the speakers and it seems like it would block all the sound. The sun might be good because it would just shake the seat, bu I imagine you'd want to hear what's coming out of those speakers.
  25. With all this crying about your gas tank with every meet/cruise/show that comes up, you'd think you'd just fix your shit so you can drive normally. If it helps any, I can bring along a 2gal can to help with the train from Tacoma.
